Handy, useful, simple---I like it

by James, WA
July 17, 2007

A set of items with pure simplicity and total functionality. They are what they are, their value should be obvious, but---I suggest a little oil or butter on the egg rings prior to use cooking eggs. Also, when the handle of the bacon press gets slippery with hot grease, instead of seeing that as a fault of the device I suggest wrapping a folded paper towel around the wooden handle. Problem solved. And please, people, don't complain about how the press shows rust problems when removed from the dish washer. Wipe away excess grease with paper towels, then most of your clean up should be easy with just a stiff bristle (non-metallic) brush and hot running water. Better yet, buy a copy of Cast Iron Cooking for Dummies which contains everything one could want to know about the subject and much more including some great recipes!

Like the press and since I like my eggs sunny side up, the ring set is handy to accomplish keeping the whites from running too much...

Seems well made, but you can only cook one slice at a time, by cutting it in half and placing it side by side.

Bacon Press works good. Helps keep the bacon flat. The pancake rings were a pain when trying to make pancakes but might work for eggs. Haven't tried that. I looked all over for the bacon press so I was very happy to find it on this site.

My Wife Thinks I'm a Genius

by Brian, MS
December 30, 2008

A year and a half ago my wife and I had just married. She was slightly disappointed that no one had gotten us something that we had put on our wedding shower list. She had asked for a set of pancake rings. At the time they were easy to find, but since then they had become increasingly scarce. We seemed to have looked everywhere in the following months with no luck finding them. Sometime in mid November I had a brainstorm. I decided to try and get them as a christmas gift. We had not looked for them in a while so I figured she might have forgotten them. I got on the internet and found a few, but then I found your website. I was impressed with the vast selection of products you offer. I was equally impressed with the apparent value of the item I chose. My wife had no idea what she was getting and yes, she was absolutely floored when she saw the elusive rings she had finally obtained. I got a big hug. I smiled and simply said,

rusty and not straight

by Lorry, CA

The bacon press gets a rusty sheen every time I wash and let it dry on a rack. I have to scrub it every time with a rough sponge to get it clean. The egg/pancake ring is flimsy and doesn't sit down in the pan firmly so the egg and pancake batter runs all over the pan. I would not recommend these products.

Too Cute and Functional Too

by Joyce, NY

Couldn't just throw this cutie into the tool drawer. It is displayed on my baker's rack as part of my 'kitchen art'. The wooden handle accomodates any size hand. Great for bacon as well as grilled cheese sandwiches. The Egg/Pancake rings are a practical tool to have on hand, also. They make great kid friendly pancakes.

The egg rings work reasonably well although it took a few tries. I spray them with cooking spray before using which keeps the eggs from sticking. The bacon press is cute but not so useful - it only covers 2 to 4 pieces max. Does make nice flat crisp pieces though if you have loads of time or only want a little bacon. Worked well for quesadillas.

Bacon Press

by Judy, GA

I had looked all over for a bacon press. The only one I found had to be assembled and had a metal handle. Your bacon press was everything that I was looking for. Your service was excellent.

Bacon press

by Donna, OK
February 22, 2008

I haven't learned to use the egg ring yet without making a mess, but I absolutely love the bacon press. The bacon is so much crisper and tastes much better than when it's cooked in the microwave! The price was right, too.

I wish the Egg/Pancake ring was nonstick. Had a difficult time cooking eggs with the ring.

The shipping charges really added so much to the price. Its better if you order more to make it worthwhile paying the shipping and handling charges.

Gift for grandson

by Betty, NV
November 9, 2010

The bacon press is identical to one I have had for years. My fifteen year old grandson who is fond of cooking for his family bemoaned the fact that his family did not own a bacon press! They are delighted with it and the pancake rings make their weekend breakfasts special...
