Where has this been all my cooking life

by Diane, AB
August 2, 2008

No lifting the barbecue lid or opening up that caserole dish. Once you know where the temp gauge needs to be placed in your food, you just have to trust the control. I usually pull the food out when the 5 minute alert tells you it is 5 degrees from being done. Leave the prong in the food and you will see that it will reach the tempreture you need. Amazing..... truly amazing.

Wireless is nice, but no other features.

by Amy, MA
February 9, 2007

I'll grant you the wireless feature is very nice, however, being able to take the alarm/readout unit into another room is the only good feature about this product. Sure it reads the temperature and seems accurate enough but any digital thermometer will do that. Two major problems: First, it's all presets with no ability to set your own desired temp so if you happen to disagree with what the designer felt was the right temperature for

Wireless transmitter is really fun and high-tech. It's nice to know the temperature without raising the grill lid. Extremely easy and intuitive controls.

Great to be able to keep the digital reading in the kitchen prep'ing or out sitting across the deck enjoying a glass of vino instead of hoving over a hot pit.

Takes the quess work out

Other than a few failed attempts at getting the two to sync up with each other (had to take the batteries out and reset a few times) but after that works like a charm.

works well, but has limitations

This wireless thermometer is much easier to use than other wireless thermometers, but it does not have a mode that allows you to set a specific temperature for what you are cooking.

Thermometer is working great in a smoker. It's nice to be able to see the temperature without having to open the smoker. Would definitely recommend this product.

So far so good (round 3)

This is my 3rd Barbecue Beeper Digital Thermometer. I love the concept and this one worked well right out of the box, but I hope it holds up better than the 2 previous ones I owned. I also hope that at some point Weber (or whoever it making it for them in China) comes to their senses and starts offering replacement probe parts since that seems to be what wears out.

It did take a couple of months to receive my shipment but Cooking.com did a good job of communicating the delays and gave me the option of cancelling my order if I had wanted to.

Barbecue Digital Thermometer

by Jo Ann, FL
July 12, 2010

I bought this item for my husband because I call him the "grillmaster" and on the weekends he is the boss of the grill. It's really hard to judge whether or not brisket or chicken are done without having a real good thermometer. He opened up the box when it came and he was real happy to see what I bought him. Of course he tried it out right away because the batteries came with it. He used it with our grill and with our smoker. The meat was perfectly cooked and reached the right temperature leaving everything we grilled and smoked to perfection. Juicy, and fall of the bone goodness everytime!!!!!!!

He loved it!!

I got this for my husband for Father's Day. He thinks it's great. He has used it both in the grill and the oven. It's nice that we aren't losing heat and therefore wasting energy by opening the lid/door to check the temperature.

Time and energy saver

by Mathew, WA

This handy device allows you to keep the lid on your grill and as a result the temperature is a constant, which cooks the meat better and quicker. When used in-doors it also saves electricity. This makes a fun task even more enjoyable.

It hardly ever connects

by Tim, DE

I have tried to use this device several times and I have managed to get the remote sensor connected only once. When it did connect it worked pretty well. It is a simple device to operate but just will never connect which makes it pretty useless.

My husband's previous Digital Thermometer that we bought from another company (for a lot more money)wasn't working after a few years. Then I saw the Barbecue Beeper Digital Thermometer by Weber on your website, and thought I would try it. My husband was skeptical at first since he really liked the other brand, but he used it this past weekend, and he likes it a lot. It is very accurate and very user friendly. I can safely and highly recommend this Barbecue Beeper Digital Thomermometer by Weber.

No More Well Done Steaks

by Marie, IL
September 16, 2009

I love this product. My husband always made my steaks well done. Just how he like them. I like them to be medium and moist. He now can't tell me he got distracted by the TV or anything and that is why my steak is well done!
