Larger than I thought?

I ordered two of these bowls. I was under the impression they were a bit smaller than they actually are. I don't think I will be using them for veggies as much as I would use them for pasta or potatoes. I like the stoneware from Pfaltzgraff overall, and I would recommend this product. No I won't be returning them, nor will I not use them. It's just that I will not be using them as everyday as I originally planned to use them.
