I received the original Big Red Cookbook as a gift right after I married and it has become my bible for new and interesting recipes. Unfortunately, it got packed up with some of my books (when we thought we were moving last year) and I didn't realize just how much I used it until it was gone. The new book is wonderful. You can insert of recipes printed from the BC web site, but it would be better to have two binders so the pages weren't so crammed in. Even with no additional pages the space allowed for the leaves is too small. But the content is wonderful and I love having the web site membership to expand into almost anything one would want to cook. The quality of the binder is not the greatest though, because the second time I opened it one of the brads holding the rings in the binder snapped off. I have been looking locally to see if I can replace it.

Looked the cookbook over and empressed with the newer recipes that have been added from the old better crocker cookbook that I have now. I would reccomend this cookbook for everyone to get.

The new cookbook was on sale the day I ordered, so I ordered six - five to give as Christmas gifts, and a new one for me. They are great! Great experience on the web site and they actually arrived earlier than stated!

I also like the open notebook feature so you can add your own pages. Did not like the fact that some pages stuck and the holes will have to be reinforced. Newer cooks will find these easier. The fact that video is available is a great feature for my son,I purchased one for him also. L from Indiana

This one is wonderfully updated for the way things are cooked now. There are some of my old favorites missing but I can live with that since I would never rid myself of the old one!

The only thing I was upset about was as it turned every page the pages were stuck together second from the bottom ring. and the page actually tore the whole book was like this. so was my two daughters books that i purchased also. also, i was very impressed that I received it so promptly. thanks

This book has all of the old basics, but has been updated to include new methods, utensils and tastes. Since I love to cook also, it is a gift for me as well. I think the fact that this book can give you some basic recipes, and you can adapt them to your desires, is the primary attraction.

It has simple to follow directions, calls for ingredients commonly found in todays kitchens, and includes sections of receipies helpful to working women. I do, however, miss many of the receipes found in my mothers 1950's edition. Unfortuneately my daughter claimed her right to that book several years ago. I had grown tired of calling her to get receipes for old family favorites so the purchase of the new one was necessary.

Organized very well; however, many of the pages were stuck together. When trying to separate, the holes ripped and I had to use reinforcements on the holes. I was disappointed because I had to spend so much time reinforcing the pages.

Yes | No Report Violation »youre cookbook has alot of recipes that my mother use to make when i was a kid and alot of other cookbooks i looked at did,nt have these old recipes. its also a good gift idea for the younger ones jus starting out and learning to cook. like newlyweds etc.

I can't seam to find this information quickly.

I have a previous edition that I bought in a store and the three ring binder is defective. I had hoped to get a better quality product ordering from the company. I will never order another one!
