I love the recipes in this book so much that I bought one for myself. I actually bought the first one for my daughter who is getting married in the summer because I thought she would enjoy all the helpful hints in it, etc. After reviewing the book myself, I thought WOW, this book is great! I ordered and received one for myself. Pretty selfish, isn't it! I won't let her see it though because then she'll know she is getting one too! HA!

The book is lovely, My only dissappointment is that I expected it to have tabs dividing the different sections so that you could go to them quickly and easily, like the original big book. But that is not the case.

My mother gave me a copy of it a few years ago for my birthday and my daughter has always loved it. It is the most valuable item in my kitchen. Not only do I and my daughter have the cookbook, but also my daughter-in-law, my mother, and my two sisters. I believe that every kitchen should have it.

Some have no experience in the kitchen, and this book starts from the beginning. As the cook grows in experience, she can try some of the more advanced recipes in the book.

Love the layout - and the features, low cal meals, helpful hints thruout the book, and has been updated for the new generation of cooks. I still use my original Betty Crocker cookbook I received 38 years ago - and love to pass on the tradition.

Now I am giving one to my niece as a shower gift along with kitchen gadgets.

This time I was not pleased with the red pages and red borders on all pages. It might be appropriate for your regular cookbook but for the Bridal Edition it was too stark, dark and took away from the beautiful outside cover with soft pretty wedding flowers and the soft hues one would expect for a special wedding edition cookbook.
