This book is the closest I will ever get to the old hardcover I had back in the 70s. I made the mistake of lending it out a few years ago and never got it back. This book is a great value, but I do miss some of the old recipes. I am less interested in the modern shortcuts than the old "from scratch" methods.

Yes | No Report Violation »While shopping for a bridal shower present for my future daughter-in-law I came upon this paperback copy of the latest Betty Crocker. I picked up this one for me and a hard copy up for her. Now I have the best of two worlds. The comfort of my old tried and true recipes, I've used through 32 years of marriage. Plus the benifit of some updated recipes for this generation with the newest version. I hope the new bride enjoys her copy as much as I did as a newlywed.

Yes | No Report Violation »I originally bought the 50's cookbook for my granddaughter because that's where my mother got a lot of her wonderful recipes. In conversation with her I asked her how she liked the cookbook. She told me it wasn't like any cookbook she ever saw. The pictures, the instructions, the terminology was so different. I knew then that I should have bought the latest edition. That's why I bought this one. I read through it and told myself this is better for this generation. I also loved the book. Time changes everything! I guess I was trapped in the 50's!

The new one is a bit different from the older one but had some of the same things that I liked. I am sure that as I use this one, it will soon become my favorite.

Yes | No Report Violation »9/13/10 Betty Crocker -- I have experienced enjoyable use of the Betty Crocker Cookbook/10th Editon for several year's. This purchase is my third (3rd) and I've enjoyed the use of each one. The previous cookbooks were purchased since I was much younger. The first copy of this edition I did not keep, the second one I still have, and the third copy (which you've just sent) is with me now. I enjoy the use of this cookbook. Thank you. Diane L. Ellison

I have used the the 1996 edition of this same cookbook for all these years and want to pass it on to my son as it can answer all his questions. I got the new edition for me and I know I will love it.

The advertisement and price lead you to believe that you are getting a bound book, instead you get a looseleaf collection that looks like a supermarket serial hand out. This is a company that blames their "Merchant Partners" when problems arise. News flash I did not order anything from Merchant partners and expect the co. that I ordered from to handle any problems without whineing "its not my fault". Needless to say a long relationship with a formerly stellar co. is at an end. John Tupper
