With 11- and 4½-cup work bowls nested inside the 14-cup bowl, plus the adjustable 6-position slicing disc and reversible shredding disc, it provides home chefs with multiple food processors in one! The exclusive SealTight™ Advantage System is designed to deliver maximum bowl capacity and clean processing and pouring. No other processor does it better!

Features:
  • 3 Sizes, Unlimited Options: 3 food processors in 1, with uniquely designed parts and accessories with state-of-the-art features. 14-cup large bowl, 11-cup medium bowl, and 4½-cup small bowl with pour spouts, measurement markings and MAX fill lines for increased user-friendliness.
  • SealTight Advantage: Designed to handle liquids more efficiently than ever, the exclusive patent-pending SealTight Advantage System creates a spill-proof seal between the bowls and lid, allowing bowls to be filled to maximum capacity without leaking. Work bowls need to be nested for use and there will not be any leaking from bowl to bowl.
  • 8 Ways to Slice or Shred: Stainless steel adjustable slicing disc (1-6mm) and stainless steel reversible shredding disc (fine/medium) - both discs can be used with the large and medium bowls.
  • Versatile Blades: Large and small stainless steel chopping/mixing blades with exclusive patent-pending BladeLock System - blades lock securely into place for easy pouring (large and medium bowls use the same chopping blade). The stainless steel dough blade is to be used in the large bowl for yeast doughs.
  • Easy On/Off: Easy On/Off locking system with push-button release - to lock on, align cover over bowls and press down on the front and back (no twisting or turning).
  • Powerful Induction Motor: 1000-watt peak power motor.
  • Convenient Storage: The uniquely designed storage box safely holds all the blades and discs in a secure case.
  • Retractable Cord: Stores easily for clutter-free counters.
  • Easy to Use, Easy to Clean: Electronic touchpad controls - On/Off/Dough/Pulse with surround blue LED lights. The exclusive dough control button reduces the speed (RPM) of the motor to achieve the perfect kneading results.
  • Reduced Prep Time: Cuisinart Supreme Wide Mouth feed tube and cover assembly is large enough to handle whole fruits and vegetables, significantly reducing pre-cutting time.
  • Durable Construction: The heavy-duty housing provides a sturdy base for this hardworking machine.
  • Stem Adapter: Stem adapter with very simple assembly is used for discs and small chopping blade.
  • Includes a spatula, how-to DVD and recipe/instruction book.

    Disappointing experience

    by Marcia, AZ
    November 11, 2009

I recently ordered the new Elite Cuisinart food processor. It is a great, sleek machine with graduated food bowls for smaller quantities and a set of different blades and disks for different tasks. It is quiet when it runs and I really like the retractable cord as it keeps it out of the way for storage.

My big problem is with the shredding disk. It is a stupid design because it has two huge "finger holes" for easy removal from the machine. Unfortunately these two holes allow chunks of food to fall through into the bowl without being processed/shredded. There is no way to get these small chunks to shred as they continue to fall through the hole, as do small (baby carrots for example) vegetables. I tried taping the holes with scotch tape and it was not strong enough, so I may try duct tape next. I can't believe no one saw this problem when they were testing the machine prior to putting it on the market! It is ok to have the holes in the slicing disk because I think most things we slice are a bit larger and won't fall through, but the shredding disk needs to not have any holes except the shredding ones.

I really hope Cuisinart fixes this problem with subsequent disks. I have called and written online to Cuisinart about this, but have not been able to "fix" the problem. I am still seriously considering returning the machine. It is a shame because it has great potential, but the shredding disk is not useful and it is a feature I use a lot.

I don't think the current machine is worth the price as it does not deliver all the features as advertised. I would not have purchased this machine if I had seen it operate with the shredder.

    Cuisinart Needs Design Help

    by Peter, NY
    October 12, 2010

The Elite Food Processor from Cuisinart is a classic case of a successful manufacturer losing touch with its customers. The bowl and lid have too many nooks and crannies, and are impossible to clean. The supposedly leak-proof lid and base allow bread dough to get up into the equally impossible-to-clean core of the bowl. The nesting bowls are simply a nuisance, a design idea that should have been dumped before production started. The huge machine, and the associated accessory box, take up much too much space.

This was, for me, an expensive failure. It cost me almost $50 to return by UPS to cooking.com, plus the $25 it cost when it was sent to me. So I'm out $75, and determined never to buy another appliance from cooking.com.

    Best Updated Appliance

This machine is far superior than my 20 year old Cuisinart, although it served me well! The ease of using it is terrific! I like the idea of the 3 bowls. Now when I use the largest one for "cheesecake", it won't spillover...Thank you!
The only "down comment" that I must tell is that the plastic box that holds the blades etc, is just a litle too tight. Just a quarter of an inch would have helped, but I'm extremely careful with it.
It also has cost me a tidy sum for a "floating island" to match the decor of my kitchen as it is VERY heavy. I still love it, it's my new toy!!!

    Awesome!

This is an outstanding food processor. Excellent design with only one flaw. The only thing that is a problem is the finger holes in the shredder blade. Small chucks do fall through. Overall though this is one awesome machine.

If I had of known that the had a 16 cup version I would have ordered that instead. I didn't find that out until watching the DVD that came with the processor.

    Love Cuisenart

    by Louis, OR
    March 5, 2010

Wow, this is the best food processor ever! The three nested bowls, the powerful motor, and the great locking lid make this one of their best products ever. Being able to use the small, or medium, or large bowl (depending on your need) without messing up the others is great. I have been finding excuses to use it. I went through three pounds of onions the other day in about two minutes. Love It!

bought to use during the holidays...made everything from pastry crusts to slicing veggies and chopping nuts. The multiple bowls enabled me to do multiple tasks without having to wash bowls between jobs. It's very quiet and powerful...don't know why I waited so long to buy it...definitely worth every penny...

Very impressive, even if quite heavy. First use was to liquify, in medium bowl, broccoli-cheese soup. The result was excellent and clean-up was easy.

Cusinart Elite Die Cast Food Processor

    by FRED, KS
    May 7, 2011

I finally decided to retire my 1988 cusinart food processor, which is still working perfectly. My new one is more powerful and the 3 different bowl sizes are a real plus. The adjustable slicing blade and the two sided shredding disc works perfectly. The blade lock system, and the cover lock system are big improvements. The addition of a dough speed, and the cover operation redesign are big improvements. The included accessory storage case is a very effective design for space saving. I am looking forward to using this food procesor for the next twenty years.

Extremely versatile due to the multiple bowls so I use it more often than my old one. Easy to switch between bowls and slicing/chopping. Like the storage container.

    lovetocook

    by Candy, NC
    August 15, 2010

I've enjoyed my 11-cup Cuisinart food processor for years; but when I saw the Elite with 3 different size bowls, I knew I wanted one. I cook a lot for family and friends, so I knew having 3 different bowls would be great. It's so easy to use. Others have complained about not being able to separate the bowls, but I have had absolutely no trouble. Of course, like anyone else I wish it cost less; but for the quality, efficiency and performance I am very pleased. I have a number of Cuisinart products and have no complaints about any of them. I highly recommend this Elite 14-cup Cuisinart Food Processor with the nesting bowls.

Because of its reputation and the fact that I have a smaller and older one, this particular food processor was bought as a gift for someone in the family. I have loved mine and use it several times a week.
