Not the enamel pans I remember.

The Granite Ware 25 lb. covered roaster is not like the enamel pans of my youth. I have used this roaster to roast, simmer and stew poultry and meat. Each time the meat is browned, tender, juicy and nothing sticks to the sides or bottom. The cleanup is a dream. I appreciate the light weight, the ability to use either piece as a bottom and the that I can use both pieces as a roaster when everyone gathers for the holiday.

great roaster, great value. did a 22lb turkey at 325, did not baste, did not open lid. used a convection oven, done (185) in 3 hrs. moist and browned perfect.

good size pan but problems with lid

I purchased this pan, one for myself & one for my friend, to use for cooking whole briskets up to 4 at one time. Unfortunately the lid, for the one I received, seems to be a little narrow b/c it does not sit secure which allows all of the steam escape. I'm unsure if this is a poor design or if I just received a bad lid. I'm contemplating asking the seller to ship me another one & allow me to return the first one at no cost to me. For the price, the pan is great for cooking large quanities & clean up was easy. I will try to use the pan again in the future although I may have to cover the pan with foil instead of using the lid.

the service from cooking.com is always great and the blue granite roaster was just what I wanted. They work great for the big turkey at holiday time. Thank you.

One handle please!

I don't like having handles on each side. I MUCH prefer one handle on the top of the roaster. Everytime you check the meat, you have to pull the roaster way out and use both hands. It is so much easier to life the top with one hand. Otherwise it is good.

Wedding Gift Roaster

This roaster was purchased for a friend at work as a wedding gift. It seems well constructed, as a traditional black porcelain covered roaster.

I'm not sure of the size turkey it would manage, and I wouldn't assume it would handle a 25 lber without checking first. But it seemed large enough for one in the 15 to 18 lb range.

Covered Roaster

The only problem that I have with this product is the cover is a bit off. It doesn't set down even all the way around. I just didn't want to take the time or trouble to return it.

10 years ago I was devistated. After 20+ years of use my original turkey roaster handle broke off. I had no idea where to look for another one. It was old. How on earth was I going to replace it? It's all I ever used. Thank you, thank you, thank you Betty Crocker! You are awese. (My handsome hubby thanks you too.)

Large Covered Roaster, 25-lb.

I bought the roaster for my daughter-inlaw. This will not only be her first Thanksgiving in their new home, but also the first time she'll cook a Thanksgiving dinner, not having experienced Thanksgiving while growing up. It's very pretty and she's just delighted with it! The only thing we would change is that it doesn't come with a rack in the bottom - we now need to find one and I didn't find one on the website, but that is only a minor problem. Over all, she and our son are very happy with it.

Excellent Turkey Pan!

I looked all around I wanted a good strong Turkey roaster that would last and last for many Thanksgivings to come. This is the same one like my Grandmother used for 30 years making turkeys. I love it!!!! Cooks a Turkey in less time and holds in all those wonderful juices so you can make a wonderful gravy.

Lg Covered Roaster

Although it took 3 tries to get a pan that was not damaged in anyway, when I finally got a good one, it was the perfect size for a 24 lb turkey. The first 2 pans that I received, the enamel on the inside of the pan right were the handles are welded on, was chipped off big time. I had ordered this pan in plenty of time to use it for Thanksgiving and the folks at the KraftStore went out of their way to make sure I got a good pan in time to use for Thanksgiving. I call that Customer Service. Thanks You Kraftstore for doing everything it took to get me a good pan in time.

Great product!

I have been looking everywhere for a turkey broiler with a lid. Since i have ordered this one, I can cook turkeys that are so moist they fall off the bones. An I don't have any placstic taste from a bag!. This is a great product, and easy to toss into the dishwasher to clean- but remember to toss it in right away!

Pleased as punch

I am pleased with the product. While it is not something that I will use on a daily basis it is a product that is a necessity for cooking large meat of poultry. I feel that it was an excellent buy.

Great Buy!

My only problem is that I did not measure my oven before ordering. The pan was about 2" too large for my oven. What a shame. Great pan.

Made my Thanksgiving a breeze.

I ordered this not expecting to receive it by Thanksgiving but I got it the day before and it made things so much nicer than trying to use aluminum pans and foil wrap. I had a 21Lb turkey and (3 loaves of bread) stuffing in there and it got done right on time. The lid was useful as another pan for mixing the stuffing since the handles are on the side and then I just washed it out and put it on to go in the oven. Very nice and store easy, just turn the lid upside down in the bottom and slide it in the cupboard.

Every year we go through the same thing - trying to find a roaster big enough for the turkey. So after Thanksgiving I purchased this one and used it for Christmas. It was great. It heated evenly, the turkey turned out perfect and I didn't have to run to the store at the last minute to buy one of those tin foil disposable ones.

great size but alittle thinner than I had expected. The oval pan I have is much sturdier than this one, but this one has the head room for the turkdy to fit without any trouble.
