The basic style was only slightly modified over the years until this updated version was introduced in 1996. Sleek and European in design, these shears have many uses in the kitchen: use them for cutting food containers, seafood, poultry and string - it even has a screw-cap opener. Made of high-carbon steel with precision honed edges, the shears have 1/8"-thick micro-serrated blades that feature the company's FRIODUR ice-hardened stainless steel that resist stains. TYPICAL HENCKELS QUALITY. THIS IS PROBABLY THE TENTH OR TWELFTH HENCKELS I'VE PURCHASED FROM COOKING.COM AND EXCEPT FOR A CHIPPED HANDLE ON A KNIFE THAT WAS PROMPTLY EXCHANGED I HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THESE PRODUCTS.

I had owned a pair of these scissors before and had to replace them when they were lost. I had liked them well enough to stay with the same kind. We raise our own chickens and they are the best shears for poultry I've found.
