The best coffee grinder ever
I shopped for a quality grinder at an affordable price and I believe I found it in this one. While I don't grind for espresso, I am very happy with the results for my daily coffee needs.
The machine works very well, it is easy to clean and does not leave a mess on the countertop. These three things matter most to me. you can dial for the grind you want and dial for the number of cups, you can also just hit the on off switch to stop if you put in more coffee or selected more cups than you need at the moment.
good value
Because of clever design, this coffee grinder gives a uniform, cool grind in little time and the simplified design makes it less expensive to manufacture, so it is a terrific value. The appearance is really very nice and the size is suited to the countertop. It looks good next to my Krups Mokabrew. I am very pleased with this product. There are a few minor negatives, however.
Some reviews noted the grinder is quiet but I found it was almost as noisy as the little impact grinder I used to use. Coffee grinding still wakes up late-sleepers.
I also found that, during grinding, every once in awhile the burr gets disengaged causing the motor to race, but when this happens, it can be fixed quickly by turning off the grinder, twisting the burr slightly counterclockwise and turning it back on. It's a minor trouble.
Very quiet and gives a great grind. Looking forward to the ease of cleaning with the removable burr.

I'm happy, the wife is happy. It cleans easly. The grind selector is too easy to move from the desired setting. I needs a spring or something to hold it in place.

However, the calibrations aren't very accurate. The 6 cup settings yeilds enough ground coffee to make 12 cups of coffee and I like my coffee very strong. Owners will have to learn where to set the switch regardless of the printed setting.

Bought this for my husband while he is in Afghanistan and it's working great. Didn't want to get an expensive one due to the conditions it would be used in, but this one works well, and is great for the price.

Yes | No Report Violation »if you do not mind measuring your own coffee, this is a great little grinder. it looks good, the grind is even and complete, but the measure is all wrong for my taste. i have toyed with returning it all week, so i would not recommend it to others.
24 of 41 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »So far, so good. The grinder takes a little practice to use effectively but the quality of the burr ground coffee is noticeably better than blade ground coffee and the grinding process is quieter. At 2-3 quarts a day, quality really matters.

I thought the grinder worked well when I was there to see it. I was impressed with how quiet it is compared to my own "blender styled" grinder.

This is the second one of these I've owned. (NO, the first one didn't break, I am using this one while deployed in Afghanistan.) I love the controls, you get exactly what you set for, and it makes a great grind.

19 of 33 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »This is convenient and easy to use, but it will NOT do a fine ground at all. I had to regrind it in my old blade grinder to get a fine ground. Good thing I kept it. I was very disappointed in this burr grinder and Krups in general.
18 of 19 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »This grinder does not work properly. Each time I press the button to grind, it does so for 1-2 seconds then kicks off before it grinds the amount I have selected. I thne have to wait until the grinder resets itself, press the grind button agaiin. I have to keep repeating this process to grind any amount of coffee. So the entire concept of grinding a set amount is out the window. I have to measure ground coffee for the amount I want to brew which usually means I have grounds left over. I will never buy another Krups product again.

I love the burr coffee grinder. The coffee does taste much better than a regular ginder. I was attracted to this product because of the brand name, Krups. I've had a regular Krups grinder for years without having a problem. I read about the burr coffee grinder making the coffee better. I tried another brand and it did make the coffee better but it broke down in about a year so when I went to look for another one I knew I had to get this brand. I have to drink decaf coffee now but you can't tell the difference using the burr coffee grinder. Yes they do cost more than a regular grinder but the cost is worth it. I'm not a big coffee drinker either but I do like my coffee in the morning.

This is my second grinder. The first one quit after two years. My husband took it apart and could not figure out what happened to make it stop, but I think for the price that two years is a good deal. I love the way it grinds so evenly, but I do find it a bit messy when I take out the ground coffee. The texture of the grind is perfect but the measuring is not accurate so I just use my scoop like I do with any coffee.

It took a few test runs to learn how to get the right amount of coffee for our tastes, but now that we've done it, we find the grinder efficient and fun to use. One quibble: the bin on the top could be a bit larger.

I thought may be it was overheated or I did not put it all together correctly. It eventually started and I had no trouble with it after that.
