New Coffee Maker

We have had several different kinds over the years. Ranging from those that grind the beans to those cheap ones. The last one lasted around 8 yrs. We use them every day. This one is smaller in footprint and seems quieter. The only drwback so far is I wish it had a window on the side to see how full the reservour was. You have to look from the top and it is in the back of the machine. Difficult to see. We have had it only 2 weeks so we will see! Seems to make great coffee and I like it's functionality.

Excellent coffee maker. Easy to use controls

This was exactly what I was looking for. An easy to use coffee maker with simple controls that makes excellent coffee. No more instant for me!

elegant and does the job

An elegant, masculine-looking coffee maker, on the tall side but fits under the cabinet, my husband who is the coffee maker in our house, always pours in the water cup by cup so hasn't been bothered by the measuring line being in the inside of the cylinder (as with detergent bottle tops!). Some have mentioned slowness but this did not seem to be the case. We like and use the keep-warm feature which isn't so hot as to evaporate the aromatic oils in the coffee.

I am so far happy with this product. I have been buying coffe makers for about thirty years. I have'nt had what would be considered a high end or anything even close hold up. I have used Mr Coffee coffee makers and I have had a terrible string of luck with them. I went through three in three years. That was awful and they are not cheap. I had more luck with what used to be a ten doller Proctor Silex and is now about twenty dollars over the Mr Coffee brand. Over the years I have used coffee makers that have a steel carafe and no warming plate....I drink my coffee over several hours in the morning and they don't stay warm. I used a friends K-cup machine and that was just a pain. I don't know why....it never seemed the coffee was hot enough and I don't like having to do a relaod for every cup. So far, I am happy with this coffee maker. The coffee stays nice and hot thanks to the guage for the warmer plate and I like the two hour feature. It seems to be perfect for me. I read that people were having problems with the area you pour the water in. I'm short and have never been able to see into the area I am pouring the water. I use the decanter to measure the water, not the stick inside the machine that tells me how much water is in it.Note to the manufacturer. The clock is useless. I don't use the programable feature and this little clock has a dark backlight, even with my glasses on it is hard to read the display. If you are going to put a clock in it, make it readable, please. After all my research I was down to a Bunn or this machine. The bunns in this price range and a little above had some really terrible reviews and recalls. As a waitress, I have used commercial Bunn coffee makers for years and there is nothing better. It seems the home line leaves a little to be desired. I'm glad I made this purchase and I am happy so far. I will be a lot happier if I get ten years out of this and if I do....I will be a loyal customer and sing Cuisinarts praises forever.....

Cuisinart Coffee Maker

My old Cuisinart finally bit the dust after 6 years of use (2 pots a day). I have tried many other brands over the years, and most of them only would last a little over a year before they would burn out. I am very impressed with the quality of the Cuisinart!!!

I bought this to replace the exact same model. The previous coffee maker lasted about 14 months before it died, but I think a power surge killed it. We are very happy with the quality of the coffee. This maker is a great value and looks very nice on the counter top. Can't beat the value!

Good Coffee Maker but...

I like this coffee maker; however, there are a few things that I wish I had known before purchasing this unit.
1) On the control panel the markings are hard to see as they are small and written in white.
2) The clock is very small and also hard to read.
3) The unit is 14 inches tall which makes pouring water into the reservoir a little difficult especially if you are short.

Overall, I would say this is a wonderful coffee maker. Just wish the control panel was easier to read. Love the audible tone when brewing is completed.

An execptional coffee maker...

I purchased this item for my wife because she enjoys coffee much more than I do. She is very happy with the controls and brewing features and enjoys the final product. Bottom line, if she's happy I'm happy.

great coffee pot.

We like this coffee pot very much. The coffee stays hot and it is easy to clean. We read about how you couldnt see the level in the water resevoir but it really isnt an issue. Will look at the Cuisnart brand the next time i need a kitchen appliance.

Need a Coffee grinder

This makes great coffe.. You will need a sparate grinder if you use coffee beans. Coffee beans store much better than ground coffee.

Great coffee maker

I find this coffee maker attractive to look at and I like the special features, e.g. option on smaller pots of coffee and control of coffee temperature. It's a very good value for the cost and much better made than my last coffee maker which cost even more.

Good grill/griddle

I wish that the grill was a bit easier to clean or a little bit more nonstick.

happy morning jumpstart

My daughter has this coffee maker, so every time I visited her, I was aware of how much better the product was than what I was using. She directed me to a sale and I purchased the coffee pot for a very reasonable price. I love everything about it, and since making coffee is the first thing I do every morning, it helps me start the day with a predictably
good experience. These days we are all coffee snobs because it's one inexpensive product that can change our day. I've owned a dozen coffee makers in my long life, and this is the best.

we had the one with the thermos carafe and the coffee tasted like metal - this one is very similar but the coffee is MUCH Better! Two thumbs up!

Amazing value!

Cuisinart Coffee Maker

Already own this product, a gift to my husband. With its gold permanent filter and ease of use, it is the perfect coffee maker for anyone. This one I purchased as a gift for my single daughter to keep her from running to Starbucks for their overpriced brew.

We ordered because of the brand, the price, and the color. So far we are very pleased. Took a little practice to get the amount of coffee just right, but we think we are now close to having it to suit us, and we think we are going to be very pleased with the purchase.

The features are easy to set. It is great to have fresh brewed coffee ready when you wake up. Easy to use and easy to clean. We bought 2: 1 for us and 1 was gifted.

One Problem with the Cusinart Coffeemaker

I've been using the Cusinart 12 cup programmable Coffeemaker for years. When my 6 yr old one had an issue --I didn't hesitate to buy a new one.

The glass carafe on this Cusinart 12 cup programmable leaks like mad, no matter how tight you snap the lid on or hold it in the middle. I'm so sorry I threw
my old carafe away by mistake, as it didn't do this. I think this is a matter of 'quality control' and it's so annoying. I'd like to write the manufacturer and let them know. I hope you do....
