This is a very good idea and works most the time. My only suggestion is make sure the bell is full of butter otherwise I have found if its half full it will fall out into the water.

This is actually the third butter bell I have bought and given away as gifts. My BFF was over a few weeks ago and she was just raving about mine so this last order placed was for her birthday. I highly recommend it and rest assured if anything happens to mine I will definitely be ordering another. I love this butter bell. It is the first one I've ever owned, but I love it. My hubby and I were looking for butter dishes and we came across this and decided to buy this rather than a butter dish. It is great having fresh softened butter for toast rather than buying margarine or other butter substitutes.

This makes butter so easy to spread. The only reason I hated butter was it was always hard even if you let it set out. Not anymore...this is by far the best purchase!!!

I love this product, I wasn't for sure it would work. I like to use butter rather than a tub "vegatable spread".Butter was so hard to use before I got buter bell. Now I have soft butter any time I need it and don't have to worry about getting butter out to soften I have it ready at all times in my Butter Bell Crock. Love it.

Oh, yes, I am a butter lover! My best mornings are spent with a cup of coffee and a couple of slices of crisp, buttered toast. I have long wondered how best to keep my butter at room temperature. For months I heated it each morning in the microwave, which resulted in uneven softening and usually, portions completely melted. Ugh. So, I decided someone somewhere had come up with a healthy way to keep butter fresh and soft. My internet search led me to the Butter Bell website, and the rest is history. I bought 4! Thanks so much.

My hubbie & I used to argue about how he melted the butter all over the dish to get it soft. I bought the bell for him and he tells me every morning how much he loves it!!! I love it too no more melted butter in the dish! Used it on the table at Thanksgiving, now everyone wants one.

I have toyed with the idea of using a product like this for years. At last, I can enjoy my toast, waffles, french toast, etc. with my morning coffee without having to wait for the butter to soften enough to spread! An added plus is that it looks so pretty on my counter top. My only regret is that I waited so long to actually buy one.

This is my second purchase. The first one had a hairline crack in the butter portin and it took a long time to see the crack, and all the while the butter was turning blue. I like the concept of having spreadable butter and decided to purchase another in hopes that the initial one was a fluke with the crack.
