The L. Tremain Parisian Polka Dot Butter Bell Crock and Spreader Set makes it easy to dish out butter for your favorite tasty treats. We enjoy how the included spreader allows you to quickly and evenly apply butter to biscuits or scones. Each spreader features a ceramic handle and stainless steel blade, ensuring countless years of regular use. The elegant design of the butter bell crock delivers a traditional look, and the English word "butter" and French "beurre" are included on opposite sides for an Old World feel. Each bell crock is made of long lasting new bone china, and the hand-painted exterior makes it a great conversation piece. The butter crock holds up to 115 grams or 1/2 cup of butter, an amount equal to a full stick, and keeps it fresh for up to 30 days without refrigeration. The new bone china prevents the butter from absorbing odors or becoming spoiled, and each piece is dishwasher safe for quick and easy cleaning.

I had never heard of a "butter bell" until the Christmas of 2007. I am from Alabama and my husbands family is from Minnesota. We took a trip there between Christmas and New Year's Day. My husband's aunt Jane had a butter bell we used at breakfast for toast. I fell in love at that very moment! I wanted to bring one home but we were flying home that day and didn't have time to shop. After returning home I went online and ordered one for myself and two others for family members. Now I give butter bells for Christmas gifts, Birthdays, Wedding gifts, House warmings, basicly any occasion. Butter Bells are unique and I want everyone I know to have one. In the South we love buttered biscuits with homegrown honey and Butter Bells provide the PERFECT butter for them!
I saw an advertisement in a magazine that said "Butter Made Better," it brought me to the Butter Bell site and I was amazed at the selection of beautiful crockery. I chose the new Parisian design because I love polka dots!
The product works as advertised...I now have soft, fresh creamy and most of all spreadable butter for my morning bagel!
I love this butter crock. It works great. I show it to everyone who comes into my kitchen. I leave it out on the counter. Several people are interested in getting one too. If they don't I may get them (my friends one for Christmas.
I am pleased with the butter crock. I would prefer that the spreader was a bit more sturdy than it is. It made sense to have them together as soft butter will always need to be spread. Found that tool to be less than
I ordered my first Butter Bell years ago, because I cannot bring myself to eat anything but real food. When I dropped my Butter Bell and broke it I immediately ordered a new one and could not wait for it's arrival, the top as broke when I opened it up, I called Butter Bell and I had a replacement within 2 days. Great product for people who care about what they eat and what they feed the people they love. Great customer service.
Very pretty sitting in my kitchen and does keep butter fresh as intended. However, I am disappointed with the butter knife; the handle is too heavy and has trouble sitting properly on the jar. It is also somewhat overpriced probably due to its unique design.
My dearest friends all cook with butter and they all loved the butter bells I gave to them. Loved the design with the spoon attach, and so fun to match the Bell to each of their kitchens. They were fascinated by the product and had never seen one before. Since I have my first Bell now too, all our kitchens are very happy indeed.
Like anyone who likes spreadable butter but loathes margarine, I have been the unhappy owner of quite a few butter dishes. Messy, smeary, butter too soft or too hard...the crock never fails to provide perfect, toast-ready butter, and it doesn't hurt that this set is really cute, too! Just don't forget to change the water regularly, and you will be a happy camper!
I already own a butter bell crock (without spreader) and have given one as a gift. This one is intended as a gift as well. This is a great idea that works well! The ability to keep butter fresh but NOT hard as a rock is something that people must have struggled with for years. Butter crocks are the perfect solution.
I was, originally, looking for something else (which now I don't even recall what it was) and came upon the site purely by accident. I am glad I did. I love my Butter Bell Crock and Spreader Set. It's functional and very pretty.
I purchased this particular version because it has the attached spreader; however, the loop is so loose that the spreader is allowed to rock in the loop which creates a bit of mess on the outside of the bell. I also don't care for the hand crafted look of the word butter in French - it looks tacky, but there are no options for bells with the attached spreader without it.
