Let your inner baker shine with this 2-lb. Home Bakery Supreme Breadmaker by Zojirushi. A sturdy horizontal loaf pan and two separate paddles make the Zojirushi a favorite among our customers. Enjoy a variety of baking and dough-making options with its selection of cycles, or follow your own recipe with the custom baking cycle. My children grew up eating home baked bread. We used a recipe from my grandmother and made 4, 1 1/2 loaves at a time. I continue to use that recipe, but bake only for two people now and have trouble finding the time to bake even for two.
I had eaten bread from a breadmaker about 13 years ago. It was OK, but the loaf was too small and I do not know what recipe was used. So, when I began to investigate bread making machines, I was only interested in a machine that would make a 2 pound loaf that would resemble the loaf shape and size I made.
I found the Zojirushi machine online and read many reviews before I ordered one. I thought that the price was sort of high, but the machine is made well and produces a very nice loaf. I have made Basic White Bread and Cinnamon Bread using the recipes included with the machine. I have made several loaves with my own recipes and have adapted my grandmother's recipe.I have used King Arthur's Flours (both regular unbleached, their white whole wheat and semolina) and their dry milk for baking.
The loaves are large and the texture is very nice. I cannot believe that a machine can knead a loaf with two little mixing arms and produce such nice texture. Cinnamon Raisin Bread is one of our favorites, but for regular white bread we prefer my grandmother's recipe. I sometimes find myself watching the machine knead the bread since I still find it unbelievable that a machine can produce a nice loaf.
My only issue with the machine is that it seemingly cannot produce a properly browned crust on the top of the loaf.
Excellent bread machine. Tried several bread recipes and a cake. They came out perfect. Very easy machine to use. The double paddles mixes the ingredients well. The non-stick coating makes cleaning very easy. One negative: the control panel isn't lighted. Have to turn on the under-cabinet light to see it or use a flashlight. This is the reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 star rating.

I own a b&b and make bread constantly. Even with this hard use, this bread maker holds up for about 2 1/2 years. I usually use the dough cycle only. When the last one started not heating well enough, I didn't even look at others. I'm very satisfied with this machine.
I've been baking my own bread in a machine for a year now and have wanted a horizontal loaf pan almost as long. With the deal I got on this I couldn't pass it up. My first loaf in it was Pumpernickel and it came out great! I hope I don't wear it out!
I bake lots of bread for my b&b, and this is my second time buying this breadmaker! My first one wore out (not surprisingly) and I got a former machine out as a short term replacement. It was also a Zojirushi, but this one is so superior. I love the quick dough setting. It is fairly quiet, quick, thorough, durable and has all the features I need. I can see how some think it may be pricey for an occassional bread baker, but for me it's great!
Actually, I'm not quite sure yet about this product since I haven't used it long enough. I didn't care much for the first attempt; the bread was too dry and was not smooth on top. Taste was ok. I just need to learn how the various recipes for for me here in FL. If I'd used it before, I would have known to add a little more water so the dough wasn't so heavy and dry. I used a Breadman for many years, and the Zojirushi is very different. I'll get used to it and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Thanks.
