Let your inner baker shine with this 2-lb. Home Bakery Supreme Breadmaker by Zojirushi. A sturdy horizontal loaf pan and two separate paddles make the Zojirushi a favorite among our customers. Enjoy a variety of baking and dough-making options with its selection of cycles, or follow your own recipe with the custom baking cycle. Use the built-in timer so that you can wake up in the morning to the aroma of freshly baked bread. In addition to an audible alert to let you know when the cycle is complete, it also emits a tone to let you know when to add last-minute ingredients, such as chocolate chips or fresh herbs. Use the Zojirushi to make dough for artisan breads, pizzas or rolls, and then finish off the baked goods in the oven. It even makes jam: Toss in some fresh fruit, pectin and sugar, and you'll have a batch of jam to spread on your bread in a little over an hour. The Zojirushi bread machine is simple to use and comes with a comprehensive set of instructions with plenty of recipes, so you'll be turning out professional-looking loaves in no time. It almost begs you to think outside the (bread) box.

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • This item was rated the best by all consumer reviews and magazines and I would agree. It's the first bread machine we have owned. It's extremely easy to operate and the fresh bread is absolutely terrific. We have used the timer function once so the bread would be warm when we woke up the next morning. The size of the loaf is shaped a lot like bread you buy at the store except it's a little taller than most store bought breads. This product is defintely worth the extra cost to purchase.

    I recommend this product.

  • I was nervous at first because of all the choices, but after seeing the video and reading the manual, I tried it. It works terrific and the bread comes out perfect. It is much quieter than the previous machine. I LOVE IT!

    I recommend this product.

  • This is easy to use. Just measure and go. The texture of the bread is really nice and toasts up beautifully. The only bad thing is that the recipes that come with the machine have no taste.

  • I didn't want a bread maker until I saw this one. The big selling point for me was it has so many options (unlike other machines I have seen), is very easy to use, and I love that it makes a normal rectangular loaf. I like the dough option. I have made bread, pretzels, and pizza dough so far. I love the bread! I will try the cake and jam options. Before I got this I didn't want the tedious work of making dough and bread by hand.

    I recommend this product.

  • I liked it and would buy it again

I liked the Zojirusha bread machine a lot once I tried it several times and got to understand it from use.

I wish they would put more information in the book about how the machine works.

    (1) There was no information about the preheating part not working if it was 80 degrees in the house, so it took me several tries to find that out since this was not covered in the book. I kept waiting for the preheating to start working.

    (2) Also they didn't tell you that you can't use the crust control with the wheat dough settings.

I really wish they had more recipes for the Zojirushi bread machine in the book or a website where I could get them.

    I recommend this product.

  • Over priced and under performance

I think the Zorjirushi bread maker is too expensive for the results I have gotten so far. The bread was disappointing to us. The bottom and lower crust areas were over dry and crumbly like over done toast and it never rose as high as in the pictures. The lower half of the loaf is denser and heavier than the top part. I still haven't been able to adjust the crust control.
I will use it a few more times before I give up. All my flour and yeast were freshly bought so that isn't the problem. I have been trying whole wheat breads and cracked wheat breads. The only thing that was good so far was using the dough program. That worked well and made excellent sweet rolls.

  • Easy to use, and easy to clean. Bread turned out great on the first use!. We love the loaf size. The machine seems much more quiet than other bread machines that we have used in the past.

  • We never wanted a bread machine (seemed faddish to us), but the growing encroachment of guar gum and diary products into commercial breads gave us no choice. After a good deal of research, we settled on this Zojirushi 2-pounder model. And we're glad we did! Three main reasons: (1) making bread w/ this machine is surprisingly easy, (2) we have complete control over the ingredients, and (3) the bread is consistently delicious. This purchase has been a good investment for us.

Excellent product, I would highly recommend it. But a word of warning, you must follow the recipies EXACTLY, any deviation from the recipies can cause unexpected results. It's a science.

  • Zojirushi Bread Machine

Over the years, we have owned approximately six different bread machines. This unit, while not as robust as our Dak Heavy Duty bread-bot, does a better job of kneading and baking than any of the others. It's also quite quiet.

  • 2-lb. Supreme Bread Machine by Zojirushi

I have been baking bread non-stop since I received this machine (about 2 weeks). This is my second bread machine (I originally bought the DAK machine way back when....remember them!). It has been a few years since I have used a bread machine, and I look forward to getting back to baking my own bread. I originally decided to find a machine because I was having trouble finding a good store bought pumpernickel. After some research I decided to purchase this one and it has been an easy machine to use. I would strongly recommend this bread machine.

  • A Great Bread Machine

The Bread Machine by Zojrushi work far better than what I had expected. I am amazed by the fact that you just add all the ingredients into the machine and it does all the rest. A few hours later you have a hot and delicious loaf of bread.

  • This bread maker is easy to use and makes great basic white loaf of bread. I have tried several other kinds of wheat bread but they do not seem to come out as nice as the basic breads. It makes great dough for pizza but have not yet tried the cakes. It is large, so you do need to have some extra counter space. I think the price is steep and at this point am not sure if it was worth the price.

Very flexible product. Makes bread and meatloaf easily. The only flaw is it could be easier to get bread out when complete.

  • 2 lb. bread maker by Zojirushi

Began using it the day I received it and it has been great. Loaves of bread have come out very nice, and it is nice to have a machine that makes a loaf of bread that looks like a loaf of bread. Whole wheat cycle is excellent, and alarms are loud and easily audible.

  • There is nothing like fresh bread!

This is our first bread machine and believe me the smell of fresh bread permeates our kitchen at least three times a week. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and the recipes are easy to prepare. You can make delicious thick-sliced French toast; tasty herb breads for eating and using the leftovers for homemade croutons and bread crumbs; delicious cheese breads, sweet breads for breakfast, etc. If you don’t have a bread machine yet, I suggest purchasing the 2-lb. • Great Bread

The Zojirushi bread machine turns out a good loaf of bread. Although, some of the recipes in the book may require more water. I have been experimenting with breads in this machine all year and have not had any problems. It has two mixing paddles at the bottoml, so the dough mixes evenly. There is a step in the dough mixing process where you can add additional ingredients like flax seeds or sesame seeds. All in all I am happy with this bread machine and if you live in an area like Battle Creek Michigan where it's hard to get good bread its worth the money to buy this machine.

  • My first bread machine... INCREDIBLE! I would advise anybody to spend the extra money for this one, rather than risking a disappointment with a lesser model. I immediately bought one for my mother, too, and am influencing most friends into doing the same.
The quality of the dough and breads is excellent. Maybe it's the last drop of romanticism in me, but I am moved by the joy of making my own bread (well, although helped by a machine... but it's my own machine, in my kitchen, with my ingredients and the aroma in the house is all mine too!).
Advice #1: The very first time, do not experiment: just make the easiest most basic kind of bread according to the recipe in the machine's instruction booklet
Advice #2: Immediately after that, buy a comprehensive book of bread machine recipes (I have found truly wonderful Beth Hensperger's
