Let your inner baker shine with this 2-lb. Home Bakery Supreme Breadmaker by Zojirushi. A sturdy horizontal loaf pan and two separate paddles make the Zojirushi a favorite among our customers. Enjoy a variety of baking and dough-making options with its selection of cycles, or follow your own recipe with the custom baking cycle. Use the built-in timer so that you can wake up in the morning to the aroma of freshly baked bread. In addition to an audible alert to let you know when the cycle is complete, it also emits a tone to let you know when to add last-minute ingredients, such as chocolate chips or fresh herbs. Use the Zojirushi to make dough for artisan breads, pizzas or rolls, and then finish off the baked goods in the oven. It even makes jam: Toss in some fresh fruit, pectin and sugar, and you'll have a batch of jam to spread on your bread in a little over an hour. The Zojirushi bread machine is simple to use and comes with a comprehensive set of instructions with plenty of recipes, so you'll be turning out professional-looking loaves in no time. • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • This item was rated the best by all consumer reviews and magazines and I would agree. It's the first bread machine we have owned. It's extremely easy to operate and the fresh bread is absolutely terrific. We have used the timer function once so the bread would be warm when we woke up the next morning. The size of the loaf is shaped a lot like bread you buy at the store except it's a little taller than most store bought breads. This product is defintely worth the extra cost to purchase.

    I recommend this product.

  • I was nervous at first because of all the choices, but after seeing the video and reading the manual, I tried it. It works terrific and the bread comes out perfect. It is much quieter than the previous machine. I LOVE IT!

  • This is easy to use. Just measure and go. The texture of the bread is really nice and toasts up beautifully. The only bad thing is that the recipes that come with the machine have no taste.

  • Bread Machines

This bread machine is the absolute best machine ever! It makes the best loaf of bread around, and all by itself that's the best part.

Aside from the Zojirushi Bread Machine being the best machine ever...
It didn't last very long. I've only had it for almost a year now and it has stopped working properly. It's funny that the place I ordered it from just emailed me this questionaire; because my bread machine just stopped working on my last two loaves. There seems to be something not working with the heating process part of the cycle?? Because my bread no longer gives me a nice big loaf, it gives me a half size from what it used to give me, and it's kind of matted down. I am using the same ingredients I have always used and doing it exactly the same as I always have.

I'm in hopes that the company I bought it from would possibly exchange or fix my machine. $200 for a Bread Machine is not cheep especially a product that only lasts for one year! Otherwise I would recommend this product to everybody, and I have with my homeschooling mom's and a few bought it too because of the recommendation.

    Thank you,
    DeAnne

  • Wake up to the smell of fresh bread

The 2-lb. Home Bakery Supreme Bread Machine by Zojirushi is definitely one of the better breadmakers on the market today. My girlfriend was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in late 2005, which means that she cannot eat products containing Gluten from Wheat, Oats, Barley, or Rye. This made it almost impossible for her to eat bread of any kind. The only bread which was certified gluten-free was not only exhorbitantly priced, but did not taste very good either. After putting up with bad bread for nearly one year, I decided to purchase this bread machine. This purchase quite literally changed our lives. The Zojirushi machine makes incredible bread, and inundates the home with a mouth-watering scent. We can now make bread using the ingredients we want, and with the type of crust we want. The timer allows my girlfriend to have fresh bread greet her in the morning. The hardware is very simple to use and to clean. The user-interface is not all too friendly at first, but you can quickly get used to it if you use it often enough (if you own it, you will). I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

  • The breadmaker works well. Adjusting the color and the crunch of the crust to suit the children was difficult. Baking it in the oven did the trick. This was my first time purchasing a breadmaker and I am satisfied.

  • A different bread machine

After much reading of reviews and studying bread machines, I chose the Supreme Bread Machine by Zojirushi. The machine is very different from the others I have owned, but that is not necessarily bad. The machine is much quieter than the others I've owned. I do not like that the recipes are only for a 2 lb. loaf; I don't always want such a large loaf. I am hoping that this machine lasts a long time, as I spent 3 times what I've spent on the others I have owned. I liked the double-kneading bar feature for strength to handle whole grains. So far, the Zo has performed well.

  • Overrated

I really wanted this breadmaker to work, so ignored some of the other poor reviews. I like the paddle system - it mixes well. Theoretically, the shape of the pan would give you a nice, somewhat standard shaped loaf. The baking of the bread is the problem. On the dark setting, the crust is really dark, practically burnt. On the light setting, the lower crust is still dark and the top of the loaf is splotchy, undercooked in some spots and okay in others. I now use it to make the dough and bake it in the oven. I should have spent the $200 on a kitchenaid stand mixer instead.

  • Great machine

Just got my first bread machine from Zojirushi. It was very informative with its enclosed booklet as well as an instructive video on how to use the zo machine.

So far I've made white bread, egg bread, and applesauce bread -- all turned out to be various versions of white bread to me. I just turned it on and let it do its magic. Some loaves were slightly denser than others, but still deliciously edible. By others, I mean extremely soft, store-bought like bread which is about 50% of the time. If you're a health nut who dislike consuming preservatives, this bread machine is for you.

The only problem I found is that the pamphlet doesn't come with a section on how to keep the bread without letting it get hard and dry unless you slice off another piece of bread. This tip I had to find in a recipe book: To store at room temperature, wrap the cooled bread in foil or plastic wrap, or place it in a plastic bag. Store it in a cool, dry place for up to 3 days.

  • Best Bread Machine Ever!

I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but this bread machine is so awesome I feel I must take the time to write something. This is another great product by the Zojirushi Corporation. (I also own one of their rice cookers, and that and this bread machine are my favorite appliances to play with.)

So far I have cheated and only used pre-mixed bread machine mixes. I look forward to making a loaf from scratch this week. But comparing the loaves I've made (white bread, raisin bread and hawaiian sweet bread) that came out of the Zojirushi to the same loaves that came out of my old Panasonic, the Zojirushi wins in a landslide! No more hard-as-a-rock crusts. No more odd-shaped loaves. No more 4-hour baking time. The Zoji crusts came out P.E.R.F.E.C.T. The loaves are shaped like a loaf should look. And the regular baking cycle is 3.5 hours. (There's also a quick baking cycle, but I prefer not to fast-track my bread.)

I look forward to forming an intimate relationship with this machine. It is so easy to use and I am so happy with the results. Can't wait to make

  • Zojirushi Bread Maching

At the moment I am not sure I will keep this machine. It appears to be well made and is very easy to use and clean, but thus far I have be unable to make a satisfactory loaf of Rustic Italian or French bread. I purchased it specifically for this reason. I have been able to bake some very nice loaves of what I would call white bread, but not ones which have the body and substance of a good loaf of Italian bread. I am waiting form some new King Arthur flour and bread mixes to try one last time. If you want a classic loaf of white bread, I would recommend the machine.

  • Disaster both efforts. A huge mistake.

I can't imagine how others had such good results. I called the information line, made the changes, and still a horrible mess...so much waste of flour and other ingredients and time. I did everything, even weighed the flour, and still terrible loaves... hard as rock, lumpy, ugly and so sad. I feel quite outraged that I succombed to the good reviews on your website.
As it happens, I am not professional, but I review cookbooks and equipment so I am rather experienced and not an amateur. All that training didn't help when it came to this machine.

  • Making Gluten Free Bread

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son inlaw and daughter (but sent it to them early). My son inlaw has Celiac's Disease and can only eat gluten free breads. They have tried several bread machine with no real success or consistency in the baking. So after reading several reviews on web sites such as Zojirushi.com, Glutenfree.com, Cooking.com and a couple others, I figured I'd give it as a gift. Well, between the recipes on several sites and the gluten free bread baking instructions from Zojirush.com and Glutenfree.com, I think we have a WINNER. My son inlaw has be more than please with the consitency in the baking and recipes. My daughter likes the baking and said this is really easy to use, so it frees up more time for baking in the oven. I give it a 10 out of 10, when it comes to their opinion.
I am answering the below questions for the daughers family.
