Let your inner baker shine with this 2-lb. Home Bakery Supreme Breadmaker by Zojirushi. A sturdy horizontal loaf pan and two separate paddles make the Zojirushi a favorite among our customers. Enjoy a variety of baking and dough-making options with its selection of cycles, or follow your own recipe with the custom baking cycle. Use the built-in timer so that you can wake up in the morning to the aroma of freshly baked bread. In addition to an audible alert to let you know when the cycle is complete, it also emits a tone to let you know when to add last-minute ingredients, such as chocolate chips or fresh herbs. Use the Zojirushi to make dough for artisan breads, pizzas or rolls, and then finish off the baked goods in the oven. It even makes jam: Toss in some fresh fruit, pectin and sugar, and you'll have a batch of jam to spread on your bread in a little over an hour. The Zojirushi bread machine is simple to use and comes with a comprehensive set of instructions with plenty of recipes, so you'll be turning out professional-looking loaves in no time. It almost begs you to think outside the (bread) box.

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • This item was rated the best by all consumer reviews and magazines and I would agree. It's the first bread machine we have owned. It's extremely easy to operate and the fresh bread is absolutely terrific. We have used the timer function once so the bread would be warm when we woke up the next morning. The size of the loaf is shaped a lot like bread you buy at the store except it's a little taller than most store bought breads. This product is defintely worth the extra cost to purchase.

    I recommend this product.

  • I was nervous at first because of all the choices, but after seeing the video and reading the manual, I tried it. It works terrific and the bread comes out perfect. It is much quieter than the previous machine. I LOVE IT!

  • This is easy to use. Just measure and go. The texture of the bread is really nice and toasts up beautifully. The only bad thing is that the recipes that come with the machine have no taste.

  • My first Zojirushi or Zo, I purchased over seven years ago, and use my machine a minimum of three times a week. If finally just was not working like it should. I tried a less expensive brand but was not satisfied. I went back and purchased the Zo. I am sure this one will last me a good 7-10 years without any troubles, too.

  • This is my first bread maker, so I don't have much to compare it with. For a first-time user, the directions are easy enough to follow. My first loaf turned out fine, but I would have liked it to be more moist. Hopefully the next one will be better.

  • This is the best bread machine I have operated. As with all bread machines, actually using it to bake in can be a challenge to get your loaf to be light and fluffy. I have found that the bread recipes in the book generally turn out to be heavy loaves of bread. I have adapted my favorite bread recipes to fit in the machine. However, you can't mess up using the dough feature, and the sourdough bread is awesome if you add a couple more Tablespoons of water when making the bread part. You can also use the dought setting for the sourdough bread after you have made the starter. It makes wonderful sandwich buns. Also, I found that I had to use the light crust setting, because the other settings left the crust very dark, thick and hard.
Overall, I would recommend this machine to anyone!Good Luck!

  • I love this machine ! I did a lot of research before I bought this. I wanted a bread machine that would produce great bread, that was easy to use, and be sturdy enough to last a long time... thanks to the reviews listed here, i felt confident enough to by the Zojirushi bread maker and i am thrilled that I did. I've made a loaf of bread everyday since i've had it. The first loaf was quickly eaten by myself and my neighbors (who knocked on the door because of the small of fresh bread baking). The loaf was gone within minutes.
This is the first time I've ever used a bread machine before and i'm confident that i'll be using the Zo for years to come.

  • This bread machine works pretty well. I had a hard time getting the bread out of the pan though. The instructional video helps for further instructions. Just make sure you have a VHS player because the video comes in VHS (well at least mine did).

  • My only complaint with this machine is that it tends to overbrown the sides & bottom of crust on the medium setting. I have not yet tried a light crust. Otherwise, I have used it twice successfully and feel that it is the best bread machine on the market. I have been a home bread baker for several years and enjoy the work that this machine does for me. For authentic looking breads you may wish to use only the dough cycle and shape and bake in your own oven.

  • This bread machine is terrific! I have been baking with a bread machine for several years. My old unit, a six year old Rival, broke so it was time to upgrade. The Zojirushi is so easy to use. The recipes that come with it are very good. My first loaf came out perfect.

One note of caution: It is a BIG machine so make sure you have room to store it. Other than that, I give it two thumbs up! You won't be disappointed.

  • WOW! I did a lot of research after burning out the motors on 2 lower level model bread machines... a) for the first time I can toast an entire slice I don't have to cut part of it off (using any 1.5 pound recipe). b) its a more traditionally shaped loaf and people love seeing that. C) it mixes and kneads better then any other machine I had.. no need to open the top, stop the cycle and scrape the pan sides!

I haven't tried all the extra features yet, but I can't wait.. I did use the dough cycle to make hot dog buns (with a hamburger bun recipe) last night that came out terrific! and the timer actually works- the last time I tried to time bread I got a mess and it wasn't ready at the right time.. though since I like to remove the paddles before the last rise, I am not very likely to use that feature often.

    I recommend this product.

  • This is my second Zojirushi Bread Machine - the first machine worked well for 7-8 years and produced a vertical loaf. This machine produces a more attractive horizontalloaf and is easier to cut the slices. I'm still able to use my Electric Bread recipes for a 1 1/2 loaf. I'm very happy with it!

  • This is the only autobakery I have found that can produce a beautiful loaf using fresh-milled whole wheat flour. Regardless of my schedule I have fresh wholesome bread on the table when my family is ready to eat. When time allows, I use the dough cycle and do my own shaping. The timer function allows me the option of a fresh loaf or ready-to-shape dough first thing in the morning (cinnamon rolls!). An unexpected bonus was the "Meatloaf Miracle" recipe.

  • Based on previous reviews it seemed like this bread machine should have been the best. Honestly, I'm not very impressed. It does work a little better than my previous ten year old machine, however I just can't get the bread to rise very well. I've tried many different things and no luck.

  • This came as a Christmas present and what a present it was! I love it and use it often. I have tried several bread recipes and they all came out great in the machine. It really is fool-proof and there is little cleanup afterwards. Just follow the directions in the manual and "voila", you have fresh bread.

  • This is my second Zojirushi. The first one lasted 10 years before the motor began to wear out. It is still usable. The new one has some nice additional features. While I bake some items in there, the main thing I use it for is to prepare my various doughs. Excellent for Pizza, Foccacia, Garlic Bread, etc. Highly recommended - the twin beaters/mixers make a BIG difference.

  • The product is impressive, and we've made both white bread and wheat bread with cinammon and dried apples so far. Directions could be improved, however, for first time users. We had a little sag in the middle of the wheat bread, which we believe was caused by not cutting the dried apples in small enough pieces. I must admit, we all learn and interpret directions in a different way. Time will tell how quickly we learn and take full advantage of this product.
