Great Cup of Coffee

This was a Christmas present to my husband (and me). We made several great cups of coffee on Christmas morning. We used two compacted scoops as directed. It wasn't hard to master the technique.

My husband is the cook at our house, and he likes to receive new tools to do the job. That's why I answered

I have cleaned this machine over and over and over again with vinegar water. It has a horrible tinny taste. I have not had the time to return it but am most unhappy with it. Also, the light for the coffee is loose so when I;m trying to make coffee to taste it to see if the horrible taste is gone, I have to steam the milk first then turn on the coffee. I will never buy anything from cooking.com again.

This machine works very well. My only concern is that the knob is very, very tight and sometimes requires two hands to turn it. It may loosen in time.

Difficult machine to use.

I have had many espresso machines; the Krups was difficult to use. Either the wand did not fit the machine correctly or the gasket was misaligned on the machine.
