I love this machine. It is well designed for eveyday use. Cleaning is a snap with the removable tray, and nozzle. I can't get over how strong the steam is...my milk triples in volume effortlessly and the foam is thick and dense. It operates noiselessly. I am also surprised at how quickly it heats up, brews and steams.
Cooking.com is wonderful as well. Mine shipped with a broken arm on the water tank. Cooking.com sent out a replacement and I had it within a few days. They were pleasant and efficient to do business with. I have already recommended the maker and Cooking.com to friends!
This makes excellent espresso. Our previous DeLongnhi machine lasted over 15 years,so we've been impressed by the brand.
I love this machine; it makes an incredibly creamy and rich espresso. If you like espresso or good quality cappuccino, you will love it, too. You will instantly forget about buying your coffee.

I had another machine for years primarily to make iced coffee/Americanos. When it wore out, I bought this one. What a great machine! I have upped a few notches my espresso with this machine and love it for every day use. I agree with others, that warming it up does not take 15 minutes.
This is a great cappuchino maker. I have found that preheating for 15 minutes does help in getting a better espresso. That is a long time but I've sometimes left it on continuously on preheat for several hours through the day and just keep making espressos. I use Illy ESE pods and the ones from the Starbucks store. That is a whole lot cleaner and easier to use than tamping in canned espresso powder (Alessi brand). This replaced a Jura Capresso that was 6 yrs. old and finally conked out. I am happy with my purchase. I do hope it lasts (have only had it about 1 month). Delonghi products are notorius for lasting 1 yr. only.
What a nice little machine! Using a seperately purchased tamper the results from this little gem is terrific. I originally wanted to get the Breville Barrista but got sticker shock. After seeing all the great reviews on this machine I made the purchase. WOW what a nice cup of espresso. The crema is wonderful and this baby heats up fast. I'm going to get another one for my office!
Delonghi's home espresso machine is definitely one of the best ones out there. I did a lot of shopping around and review reading for I chose this machine, and I'm ecstatic about my choice. Although the manual recommends waiting 15 minutes for both the brewer and the frother to warm up, they can do the job adequately after 5 minutes of warm-up, which is pretty impressive for a home espresso maker. For less than 200 bucks, you can't get a better espresso machine!
The only downsides to this machine is that it's far lighter than it looks (it's mostly plastic, so when you're trying to place the portafilter in the machine it moves around). Reviews did warn that this was an issue, but I bit the bullet and despite the weirdness of not using a 2 ton espresso machine, I'm very happy with my choice. The only other thing I don't like is that the machine seems to extract a bit too fast. I've tried grinding the beans a bit larger and filling the portafilter more, but it hasn't done anything. If you guys have suggestions, let me know.
I have long used a simple espresso pot, and decided to upgrade to a pump espresso maker. After a lot of research, I chose the DeLonghi for its value and for the very positive reviews it got. I have not been disappointed. This machine makes a great cup of espresso, is very easy to use in every way, and is great value for the price. I highly recommend it!
I still haven't used the machine because of the preparation involved. Haven't had the time to follow the instructions prior to use. I'm still going to my neighbor across the hall for espresso. I'm sure, though, that my machine will make excellent coffee once I find the time to do all the steps involved.
My husband just loves espresso. I am a coffee girl, myself, so I never really understood his passion, but he had another machine, and it was temperamental. Finally, a plastic part just cracked in two pieces, and we had spent a lot more than I spent on this replacement machine. This machine works very well, froths like crazy, and is generally much preferred over the other. I am glad the other one broke!
We haven't used the cappuccino option yet, but the espresso is very easy. The machine was a gift to my husband, who is often appliance challenged. Using it is a breeze for him. The machine is solid and compact. I chose this model after reading other reviews. I'm happy with my choice.
It makes good espresso but I had trouble foaming the milk for capuccino. 1st time I used it, it bubbled over, splashed everything and still didn't make the cream.
Other tries have been a little more successful although it makes cream only with part of the milk, the bottom remains liquid. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!
