I am just thrilled with my new DeLonghi Panini Grill. I was amazed at how easy the clean up is. Even though the cooking plates are not removable, they are a snap to clean! It crisps the paninis perfectly on the outside and the insides remain moist and delicious. My family is very happy! I just bought another one as a gift for my mom's birthday. - A must have in EVERY kitchen.

College cooking

I got one of these for my son to take off to college with him in the Fall. He has lived in the dorms for the past two years and now will need some kitchen stuff. He said they were able to make panini sandwiches in the dorm cafeteria their freshman year, so I figured that was the one thing he would know how to cook! He has tried it out and liked it. Hopefully he will get creative with it. I've suggested pestos and tapenades for flavorful spreads. One of his roommates was excited about it as well.

Easy to use, heats quickly

Purchased this for our office kitchen. Easy to use and great for multiple users. Heats very quickly!

Ordered this for my son and his wife ..... THEY LOVE IT! Panini heaven.
They also use it to cook chicken breasts, sausage, etc. Quick and
very easy to clean. It has become their MAJOR cooking appliance.

good even for non-cooks

i really like the panini grill. as a non-cook, it has added numerous options for my culinary experience.

The product sparks at the outlet when plugged and un plugged. This is very undesirable and would be avoidable with an on off switch. Otherwise does a good job with sandwiches.

Nice quality machine...

I purchased a $39 dollar panini grill from target that worked great for about a month...then it just quit died. I knew I couldn't live without one so I decided to invest in something a little nicer. I didn't spend a whole lot more money but got a much better quality machine. There's no comparison to the other model. This one is much heavier.

The temperature control is really unnecessary since I always keep it at the high setting and I have a problem with the latch that keeps it closed when not in use...it just doesn't work. (I believe it got bent at some point before I received it). If I tried to carry the machine by the handle it would fall open which could easily break the machine because it's so heavey. Other than that this machine is great. I hope it lasts for a long time and I expect it will. Definitly a great bargain for the price!

Second Retro Panini Grill

I purchased my first Retro panini maker a year ago for my own use and have loved creating delicious sandwiches of many different combinations. This holiday season I purchased another one as a gift for my son & his family who tell me they use it almost daily it sits on their kitchen counter so the teens can easily find it and concoct their own panini for meals &/or snacks. A great addition to everyone's kitchen!

great grill and panini grill

I am really enjoying my panini grill. It was a great price. I used it the day it came to grill steaks.

I am thrilled with the quality and easy cleaning of the Panini grill. It makes fantastic sandwiches that are pressed and grilled to perfection.

Have used the product for sandwiches, burgers, and steaks. Does a great job. 1.25" New York strip in just 7 minutes (rare). Easy to clean.
Would be great to have on-off switch rather than plug-in, plug-out control.

We are very pleased with this panini grill. It looks great, worked well - heats fast and cooked evenly - and was easy to clean just by wiping with a dishcloth. The one thing we found was that it usually needs the higher setting to brown the thicker breads thoroughly. They taste best when they are crunchy and crispy. Sandwiches have all been delicious so far!

Great Panini Grill

This grill was a replacement for another one that died after only two years of use. So far, the DeLonghi grill has been great. I am looking forward to LOTS of use.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son who does not like having items around that aren't functional and he won't use. So I took a chance on this Retro Panini Grill and he loves it! He was really, really delighted - which, of course, delighted me! He has had it a month and has been cooking on it almost every day. He said,

Excellent product. The only flaw I've found is that the latch to hold the grill together for storage does not work too well. I have resorted to just storing the grill base down. Other than that it's fine.

I think this is a fabulous grill. It is easy to use, and extremely easy to clean. I have had a panini party making about 25 sandwiches. We had a lot of fun making the sandwiches and it doesn't take long to cook them all...you can cook about 3 large ones at a time.

I am very pleased with the grill. It heats quickly, gets very hot, and it's easy to adjust the temperature. So far it has been very easy to clean; although I have not tried cooking meats, etc. on it, things like melted cheese wipe right off. I had another brand of indoor grill, but it doesn't compare with this one. I LOVE the sandwiches, and can grill one in no time at all. It has worked great with every kind of bread I've tried.

Looks cool, works great. You should be able to get the same results in a skillet. But you can't. The bread is crisp on the outside, soft on the interior, and everything heats up/melts to perfection. You'd be a pa-NINNY not to buy this.
