I searched and searched the web for a dinnerware that I liked. I was SO glad I read the reviews of this product before purchasing.

Please be aware that the color is nowhere near like the picture shown on this site. A better representation of the actual color of the dishes can be found on the bed bath and beyond website. Look for the Nova Brown Dinnerware. They are still beautiful,,, and feel very heavy and expensive. But they dont' have the blues and greens shown in the pic. Just a hint of them on a few dishes.

I found when I stacked the plates, that some are a little mishapen. You would never know it on the table,, and it doesn't bother me. I think that is typical of pottery types where the pieces are handmade.

The pieces are each a little different,, all matching of course, but with a little different markings. They are unique and beautiful.

The do not get overly hot when in the microwave. I microwave my coffee a lot, and have never found them to get too hot.

I have two kids and have had dinner left on them overnight. They did not stain or discolor in any way.

They have not scratched or broken so far, and seem durable.

I would take a look at the color before buying this product on the bed bath and beyond site. But I would still buy it here. So I bought two sets, and the ice cream bowls. They were shipped a little slow because of the free shipping probably,, but they arrived in perfect shape. Nothing broken,, packed very carefully.

I was very pleased, and would buy more of this product, and more from this website.

The dinnerware was more beautiful than the picture. It is heavy and quality crafted. I love the uniqueness of each piece.

I did not experience the problems others had mentioned with heating. These dishes get no hotter in the microwave than my previous set.

All of the dishes arrived well packed and nothing was broken.

this product was not even close to the item pictured on your website...I was very disappointed in the dinnerware set I received. no browns, blues, or greens pictured on the website....just boring tan

Dish set

The picture looks nothing like it. There is no blue in the plates. I saw this on another review and was glad because I didn't want blue. They are just like the color on the Brown French onion soup bowls which I ordered too. I love them. They feel sturdy and the colors are so nice.

I absolutely love the quality of this dinnerware. So much that I ordered another set to complete an 8pc set. I also ordered the 5pc matching completer set. My only disappointment is the color is nowhere near what you see online. It is a solid light brown with a dark brown trim. No blues or greens at all. I was hoping that the second set would have some blue/green in it because the cust. service told me they vary. No, absolutely the same color that the 1st one was and is the same color that's on the box. I would like to have a set that looks exactly what I saw online/website. Enjoying my new dinnerware. The Dinnerware came all in one piece, and looks great. They do not have as much color variation as picture shows, but still a great set of dishes.

Love these dishes!!! I've been looking for a new set for a long time but could never find the right one. Well, this is it!!!! Definitely worth the wait to find them.

These plates are fantastic quality. However, the picture led me to think they were more blue-brown than they are in reality. They are very brown. Still lovely, but I wish the blue was as noticeable on my table as it is in the pictures.

Nice Dishes

The dishes are very pretty, but three bowls were broken when I received the order. I called Cooking.com and they said that the dishes were backordered and they would send me three bowls when they came in. That is great, but I received no letter or email verifying that, which would have been great. Maybe this note will prompt them to follow up.

i picked worse because i thought i was getting blue dishes but when i opened the box they were brown. after rechecking my order and reading some reviews i found out that i wasn t the only one that wanted blue and found out they were brown.if i could get these dishes in blue like the pictures show i would probably order 3 sets. not sure what im gonna do with these dishes

I love my new dishes and the service was great. I did worry about ordering online because of damage but everything was packed so well and arrived perfect. I must say the picture is not quite right. The coffee cups are not brown on the outside, they are the lighter color. I would have to say the dishes overall look closer to the picture of the dinner plate. I have this site in my favorites and will do other shopping here in the future.

Sango Black Dinnerware

Dishes arrive on time. Dishes are very nice, and exceeded my expectations.

While I understand this is far from the finest China that exists in this World I must say that I love my Sango dinnerware. I love it so much that I recently purchased additional sets with you to bring the total to service for 20. I also recently purchased the beautiful onion soup crocks. I especially like the fact that I can add to my set all sorts of items with the same design. At a recent dinner party I hosted, I received many compliments about my beautiful dinnerware. I thnk the black dinnerware is the most attractive design/color offered by Sango and I intend to purchase many additional items in the future. Thanks for the very good service.

This is a great set of dishes the color is deep and rich. The dishes are thick and a nice weight. I love the subtle differences in tone on the different pieces. The table look beautiful when set with these dishes.

Very brown but nice

I was originally thrilled when I saw the picture but I read the reviews and realized that the product was really brown. We even when to a retailer and saw it before we ordered from the site so it wasn't a surprise. We couldn't find it anywhere else cheaper.

Not nearly the same quality as original

The Sango dinnerware set was purchased to replace missing pieces of a set that I have owned for a few years. The plates are thinner, larger, pockmarked and lacking the variety of color found in my first set. The mugs are completely brown and tan where the first set had much blue and grey as well. Nothing is even close. I was very unhappy with these. Are these actually sold as original sango or reproductions? They do not even look like the picture shown here.
