The Nova pattern by Sango recalls artisan pottery with its simple shapes and earth-toned, rich glazed effects. Ruddy browns fade into softer tans forming an unusual palette with unexpected variety. Bowls hold 16 ounces and are 5-in. diameter x 3-in. high.

but it is an onion soup bowl which means you put it under a broiler at the end. I had sango onion soup bowls but broke one. I always used to put them under the broiler so I guess I'll use these the same way.

I purchased this item as a gift for Christmas. I'm sure my mother will enjoy using them. She had been looking for new soup bowls for awhile. They were nice sized and the color of the bowls was beautiful.

Love the French Onion Soup Bowls. They are just beautiful. The way the outside of the bowls are lighter and the inside dark which is opposite of the regular soup and cereal bowls makes them quite unique.

These are great bowls! they are the ideal serving size, and i love the handles!! They are also attractive in a place setting: either soup-on- the-run or a casu-elegant dinner!

I wanted a deeper bowl and overall size is just perfect. When I saw the glazing though I was extremely pleased with this purchase.

These 22 ounce bowls are beautiful. I bought two sets as gifts (Black) and bought another set (Blue) for myself. There is ONLY one thing that could be improved and that would be to make them oven-proof. I'm not sure why they're not oven-proof...they had to go into a kiln to fire the glaze didn't they?

These are great. Nice roomy size and very attractive. We use them for heating food in the microwave. Cover with a plate or waxed paper, and the handle makes them super easy to grab with a pot holder.
