I wanted a food processor for small jobs my blender just couldn't do, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This was the perfect solution.

Last night I chopped onion and garlic in mere seconds. It's quiet and efficient and clean up really was a snap. Watch out for that little blade though, it is razor sharp.

I was in need of a small food processor and since I already owned several Cuisinart appliances and have been extremely pleased with each appliance, I thought the value, as had been past practice, would far exceed the price - unfortunately, I was mistaken. This food processor is extremely cheaply made, has no weight so to speak of to keep it from jumping off the counter with every press of a button, and althouth it has two speeds - chop and grind - it purees everything within the blink of an eye. To give it a fair chance, I have attempted use of this appliance with several different types of food. It has failed miserably each time. Word to the wise - don't waste your money.

Great Food Processor

This is a great little processor and perfect for small jobs. I made salsa with it the day I received it and really loved the results. The blades are very sharp so it only took a few seconds to chop an onion. I have many Cuisinart products and love every one of them.

I have a full sized Cuisinart--but this Mini-Prep is great for small amounts of food. It's simple to use and easy to clean. It's also small enough to keep out on the counter top for fast easy access. I love it!!

good processor

I have basil plants and make pesto every week and I really like this processor. I had another brand the same size and it didn't have the reversible blade option and it really makes a difference. You can't stuff all the basil leaves in at once, but once it gets going you can add along the way. It chops garlic like a dream. I would recommend it!

Good and quick

This little guy comes in handy for quick jobs and small quantities, but beware that it will puree things you only wanted to chop. My advice is to precut smaller sections of onion for example in order to get a diced outcome. It tucks on to the counter nicely.

I had an older Cuisinart mini-prep. It was okay for chopping onions and garlic. With the new mini-prep, it's like a dream come true! I can make salsa's, chop nuts etc. It doesn't smell like it's going to burn up (the older one did). And it doesn't mush anything ( unless you want to). I find it to be a great tool without taking up space.

This is a much better product than the previous mini
cuisinart. It is also safer since the blade is in one piece not two. It is sturdier as well.

Excellent for making baby food

by Quiana, GA
July 9, 2008

I love this food processor. It has saved me tons of money on baby food. Every time I cook dinner, i just put a few spoons full in the food processor for my daughter and its ready. However it can be bought at walmart for about 1/2 the price. Besides that I just love it. If you are planning on using it to make sauces or other foods I would recommend a larger processor. This one is very small.

Nice mini processor

Good value for the money, does the job chopping onions, nuts, herbs etc. The blades are very sharp, need to take care that you don't over process especially salsa. Took a few tries to get the right touch, overall very pleased with this purchase.

This little machine works great. After our other mini processer broke, it was nice to find this one that is so well-made and affordable too. We're looking forward to using it for years to come.

Cannot handle amounts of any size

by Marie, KS

THis size requires emptying frequently, making the task of chopping take longer than I was hoping. I have never had a food processor, so this small size will take getting used to.

This was a gift, but the recipient loved it because it did not take up too much counter space and was slightly larger than the Mini-chop.

Not a bad little helper in the kitchen! You need to be careful not to over chop anything as these blades are very sharp and efficient.

This is a great tool without being bulky on the counter. I use it more than my larger processor because of its size and ease of clean up.
