Whether you need a sprinkling of ground nuts to top off an almost-done dish or want to quickly whip up a quick salsa snack during a commercial break, the Cuisinart Brushed Chrome 4-c. Mini-Prep Plus Chopper makes it easy to take care of small jobs in the kitchen without having to bring out a larger appliance. With a 4-cup capacity, this miniature food processor is large enough to handle basic tasks in the kitchen yet small enough to leave on your countertop 24/7 so it's always close at hand. This convenient unit has two settings: a grind setting for hard foods such as nuts and coffee beans and a chop setting for pureeing or coarsely chopping softer foods, so you can pick the right one for your needs. The reversible motor and auto-reversing blades let you switch from grinding to chopping and back again without having to do anything other than press a button. The brushed steel base adds a modern touch to your kitchen decorating scheme, and it matches well with chrome appliances, while the plastic bowl is durable enough for everyday use. An easy-to-use locking mechanism and convenient handle let you snap in and pop off the plastic bowl quickly. When you need to store your Mini-Prep processor, wrap the cable underneath the unit for easy cord management. This appliance comes with an 18-month limited manufacturer's warranty and is easy to clean.

  • "Brushed Chrome"...really?

It's not metal, it's plastic. The advert is misleading. After just a few batches of dried peppers, the container interior is scratched to opacity...soft plastic? I removed all stems before chopping and have already had to touch up the very thin blade.
I like it, it works, but I don't think it is up to what I, at least, have come to expect as Cuisinart quality.

    I recommend this product.

  • Sturdy and just the right size for my kitchen

I mostly use my processor to make salsa and mayonnaise, which this model does well. And I appreciate its small footprint in my small kitchen. Seems to be well-made and have a strong motor. I'm very happy with it.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great chopper, big improvement over old model

Like the larger bowl, the easier method for locking the bowl onto the machine. Still don't like how it chops most items well enough but still leaves a few bigger chunks.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great Mini Chopper

A great alternative when I dont need the big food processor. Great for pulsing ingredients for salsas and sauces. Does not take up much room on my countertop.

    I recommend this product.

  • Disappointed with product material

I own a 3-c Cuisnart mini-prep in brushed stainless steel, so I was disappointed when I received the 4-c mini chopper, not in brushed stainless steel but shiny SS. It looks and feels like plastic. I gave it a 3 star rating, because I have reservations it will last as long as my 3-c. I've had my 3-c mini chopper for more than 5 yrs.

    I recommend this product.

  • Small but mighty

I have a very limited space for appliances. I had a much smaller food chopper that broke. I did not want a full size, heavy food processor so I purchased this. I am delighted with it. The bowl is the perfect size for my needs. It is easy to assemble and lock in place, and fits in the dishwasher too. It chops and grinds better than some of the larger choppers. I recommended it to a friend who was looking for a chopper also. If you need a chopper that is easy to use and takes up little space, this is the one for you.

    I recommend this product.

  • chops great; light weight; cord isn't pliable

I have an old large heavy Quisinart that I love but it too heavy to use for little jobs. This mini-prep chops and grinds like a little powerhouse. I chopped nuts, chopped peppers and mixed a cream cheese dip easily but I was disappointed in the light-weight plastic used for the base and bowl. Since I don't have an appointed spot on my countertop, in getting the mini-prep out I've already dropped the cover twice and broke off an unneccessary piece. The cord is supposed to wind around the bottom of the base, but it takes forever to wind it into the slot and twice as long to get it out - I prefer to just wrap the cord with a twist tie.

    I recommend this product.

  • PERFECT SIZE FOR THOSE "IN BETWEEN" JOBS. SOMETIMES THE 3 CUP IS TO SMAIIL, BUT THE 7 CUP IS TO BIG. THE STAINLESS STEEL GOES WITH ANY KITCHEN DECOR, AND THE CUP SEEMS TO BIG EXTRA TALL.

    I recommend this product.
