I plan to make tomato sauce from tomatoes in my garden. It is better than I had expected, I think it is a great addition to my kitchen.

Performance

Very powerful little gizmo! Can be used for so many many things. I used it to purée a homemade treat "side dish" if you will for my elderly cat. Great for my evening protein shake as well, smooth results easy clean up.

Great Kitchen Tool

I have always wanted an immersion blender and finally purchase the SmartStick. It is everything I ever wanted. It has enough power to do all my blending, is not too heavy, and cleans up easily. I must have for an enthusiastic home chef.

Very Handy Kitchen Tool

I love, love, love this hand blender. It makes a quick job of mixing every thing--salad dressings, pancakes, shakes, puddings, etc. I keep it handy and use it often!

Gift for my brother

I bought a SmartStick for myself a few years ago and I use it quite often in the kitchen. It easy to use and I have no trouble with clean up. I love it so much I decided to buy one for my brother for Christmas. He's always wanted one but hasn't gone out to buy one. He'll be surprised!!!

A hand blender that acts like a large size.

This blender has exceeded my expectations! Even my elderly mother uses it daily! She mixes orange juice and a banana every morning. I am excited to make healthy shakes and can't get over how easy it is to clean! The blade comes off of the motor very easily and can be cleaned by running is through water! We really like the pitcher so we don't have to worry about it making a mess on the counter. I ordered a second one as a gift!

Rating

The price was comparable to other stores in town, but with free shipping it was a little cheaper and more convenient to purchase. No running around. I bought it because I have been wanting one for some time and it seemed to be a good deal at the time. Hopefully it will perform as good as I've heard it does.

LOVE this gadget!

I love love this gadget - It is perfect for anyone that is just getting their baking and cooking kitchenware. It is universal if you don't own a hand mixer or food processor. It won't work magic or anything, but if you are just starting a collection I would HIGHLY recommend this. I actually thought it was going to be MUCH smaller than it was - in the picture it looks like it would be a simple handheld mixer - but it is pretty heavy duty and twice the size as it looks, it is kind of hard to just have it stand up on its own, I wish it had a holder that came with it, but it doesn't matter, I love this thing. It works great if you are trying to puree anything and it does not splatter very much. Love the one button use and the fact that the hole bottom part just comes off and you can put it in the wash. Color is very pretty and is more of a banana yellow. Great price and great option!

Fantastic product!

My brother kept telling me to get a Hand Blender but I never understood why. Until now! I finally broke down and bought one. I have used it at least 10 times in the past 2 weeks. It works great and is easy to clean up. I love the included measuring/blending cup that comes with it. It works for so many things......I mainly use it for my breakfast shakes and smoothies. It's wonderful........definitely would recommend!!

Bought as a gift

I have a stick blender myself and love it. Don't have to get the blender out all the time.

Too much power?

I am not sure if it is the power or the head design, but using it in other vessels besides the one it came with (e.g. 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup) seems to shoot the liquid all over the place. To me that makes it less useful in that part of the value of an immersion blender is to be able to stick it in any container and blend. If I have to transfer to the one it came with every time, I might as well just put it into a blender. And I am not a fan of putting hot liquids into plastic.

I have been very happy with the Smart Stick hand blender! I have made some great sauces and soups with it! It does a great job and looks good also!

Great product for the Price

Good name product. Great price. Works great. I'm sure there are exceptional models, more powerful tools, etc., but they cost at lest twice as much. For as little as I use a stick blender (although the more I use it, the more I'll use it; you know what I mean?)this one is perfect for me!

My friend used mine so I bought one for her.

Great for Soup!

This is wonderful for soup. I made a huge batch of kale, potato, leek soup and was able to blend it in the pot. Quick and consistent blending throughout the huge batch. Great value, great product - I love Cooking.com

My chef friends could not believe I didn't have one of these. Now I know why. I prefer making most thing from scratch. I love using this for salsas. I make salsa several times a week. I used to use my blender when I was in a hurry. I prefered to chop everything because I don't like thin salsa. Now I use my hand blender. It is so much better. You have so much more control with the consistency. My daughter loves to make smoothies with this. We use it daily.
