The Waring 40-oz. Brushed Stainless Professional Bar Blender can mix up a margarita or emulsify (combine) liquid ingredients for soup quickly and efficiently. The high-speed blades on this blender move at much higher speeds than an average blender, allowing you to liquefy, puree, and blend food and drinks with smoother consistencies. Gone are the days of stopping your blender to add more ingredients, because this machine features a handy opening in the lid so that you can add ingredients while the blades are moving. Two speed settings allow everything from basic ice crushing to emulsifying more complex sauces and soup bases at the higher speed. The toggle switch makes it easy to switch the 120-volt motor from high to low for excellent results with cream-based soups. The base is an easy-to-clean brushed stainless steel in a classic bar design, and the clear glass blending jar holds up to 5 cups and fits snugly in the base without wiggling. The heatproof container can handle even the hottest of steamed vegetables for liquefying into a protein smoothie. And you’ll never need to search for the missing pieces to your blender because this machine features an attached blade for quick setup.

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • To put things simply, this blender is the essence of what a blender should be. It has everything a blender should have (which many don't) and nothing that it doesn't need (which many blenders do).

Design: The heavy glass carafe is crafted in a unique clover-leaf shape that continuously forces food back into the blades. A side-effect of this design is that while it doesn't *appear* to have a pour spout, it actually has three; Pour lefty, righty, or straight. (Well, four, if you're the kind to chug right from the carafe. I wouldn't, but that's me). The bottom isn't one of those screw-off jobs that never goes back on right. This is solid, one-piece construction... and it still cleans up in seconds.

Usability: Get your blender out of the cabinet. How many buttons does it have? Eight? Twelve? I think my mother's has sixteen (eight buttons, with a two-level switch). Okay, now... how many of those buttons do you use? How many are even labeled in words you *understand*? Two, maybe? That's fine. You've mastered your two-speed food processor, and never wished for six more. The Waring has a three-position toggle switch: High, Low, and Off. Two speeds. It crushes ice on Low, and obliterates it on High. If you want six more buttons, you're delusional.

Power: It crushes ice on Low. That's not enough for you? Okay, how's this action for ya: It makes peanut butter. You might actually need to scrape down the sides once or twice in the beginning before it really gets going, but it requires no oil for emulsification. Natural peanut butter in minutes, at half the price that you'll get it in the store. And this stuff won't separate, either.

This hot little number kicks butt, and isn't bothering to take names.

    I recommend this product.

  • in search of the perfect blender

after witnessing 3 or 4 blenders from costco and others which I thought were to be 'the blender' self destruct, I decided to do a little research. The waring professional bar blender got rave reviews so I bit the bullet and poneyed up for one. I must say, so far so good.
I like it's simplicity, 2 speeds (what are all those speeds for anyway), no funky plastic screw on base( the blades are integrated into a very nice heavy glass jar) and clean lines that look good with any decor. Did I mention that this thing eats ice, fruit and anything else like nobody's business...it does. It also seems create some sort of circulation pulling stuff down to the blades so that I don't have to continually shove things into the top to try to push unblended ingrediants to the bottom of the jar. Bottom line this blender works great, seems to have been designed to last a long time and looks good. Is it worth the price...... ( my only possible complaint)? after my frustration with various cuisinart, oster, hamilton beach ........I say yes

    I recommend this product.

  • This is a fantastic blender, and is perfect for the amateur or pro user. All I really wanted to do was make milkshakes and smoothies, which have been ultra-easy to do. While it takes some adjusting to understand what consistency of each item you're inserting to produce the taste you'd like, it's a fun process. The noise level is slightly high, but it only takes seconds to blend whatever you're making. After all, they put spleens into blenders on Fear Factor, and that didn't take long to chop up. Overall, it looks great in a kitchen and is VERY stylish. Cleanup is a snap.

    I recommend this product.

  • Best Blender

This blender is the best. In seconds it blends everything, including the ice. I love it. I used to have a really good blender and then it quit. I have bought three and they were each lousy. I have been looking for a long time and I am so happy I found this one. You will not regret the purchase of this blender. I wish I had found it sooner.

  • Much better than the last blender!

This blender was not as much as I expected from reading other reviews. I make smoothies almost every day and before this blender was using a $20 Oster that I absolutely loved until the motor died after about a month. For Christmas I chose this blender and received it as a gift and was very excited to give it a try. As for making icy drinks, this is the perfect blender! I made my whole family Blue Hawaiians and they were the perfect texture and it incinerated the ice! I was amazed! My excitement was short-lived, however when I went to make a smoothie. It really seems to struggle to blend and create a vortex as advertised. I still have to open the blender every three seconds and manually spoon the entire mixture until it is almost completely blended until the vortex will be created. If not, I have to take the canister off of the motor and shake all the contents and put it back on and blend for a few seconds and then repeat. After about 15 minutes it will make a great smoothie, but it really is frustrating. I do use frozen fruit in my smoothies so maybe that is the problem, but for a machine that can incinerate ice to make a snow cone, I wouldn't think that would be such an issue. I must say that I do enjoy the clean up of this product. All I have to do is add a little soap and some warm water and put it back on the blender and voila! It's clean! No messing around with blades anymore! Overall I would say this is a decent blender. I have never owned or used a Ninja or a Vitamix or anything of the sort since that is just way too pricey for a small kitchen appliance. Maybe someday I will invest in one, but for now I think this blender will work just fine. For making smoothies it is definitely a hassle but it does eventually work and I really do love how easy it is to make frozen drinks! I would recommend this blender, but just be warned about making smoothies that it is not much different than any other blender out there for $20 or $30

    I recommend this product.

  • surprised it was not better

I had high expectations for this blender, since I am used to using cheap blenders that I have to replace every few years. Honestly, I don't find it to work much better than one of the cheap ones. Like another reviewer said, it pops up off the stand (which the cheap blenders don't do) if you don't hold the top, and you MUST hold this every time, especially if you have hot liquid in it. The cap is also very cheap and the clear plastic part doesn't stay in well. What I do like is that it has only two speeds...I never have found much use for all those other buttons on blenders which all seem to do the same thing. And I do like that the blade is built into the base so there are extra parts to find. I'm glad I got this on sale, but still feel I paid too much. If I had paid the full $200, I would have returned it.

  • One little thing they forget to mention...

The blender jar will jump right off the blender base unless you hold it onto it while the blender is operating. This isn't mentioned in the instruction manual, nor did I notice that it was mentioned in any reviews. At first, you think that you must not have the jar seated properly. Then you realize that it's just a wacky, somewhat disturbing feature of the thing. We use our blender exclusively for making smoothies. We add the juice first, then the frozen fruit, as instructed. I.e., we are using it properly.

    I recommend this product.

We use our blender daily, so after 3 blenders in 5 years, I decided to splurge on this after a friend recommended it. Best decision... It is amazingly quiet, SO easy to clean, and works perfectly. Worth every penny.

  • Awesome Blender

I have only had this blender for about a month. However, I do make smoothies just about every day. This one at this point crushes ice better than any blender I have ever owned. Which includes expensive and cheap alike. I typically go through blenders 1-3 years. I am hoping for a 5yr blender here due to how much I use one. I do plan to review this product again in a year to state how it is still doing.

    I recommend this product.

  • Let-down

The first several times we used the blender to make smoothies, it was a dream. It crushed ice in a matter of seconds, was quiet, and the smoothie was ready very quickly. Now, however, the ice doesn't get crushed all the way even if we let the blender go for a while. I think it has also gotten louder. (We are talking about 3-4 cubes of ice - nothing crazy). Also, it turns out Target has a 48 oz blender for only $99. Overall, a disappointing experience! We used to get much better performance from a $20 Hamilton Beach blender.

Extremely happy with this blender. Most I've ever paid for one (but still could have paid much more) and I am glad I did. Very solid feel, heavy glass top and who really needs more than 2 speeds? First night out of the box it made some awesome frozen margaritas and handled the ice cudes with no problem. Been using it a lot ever since.
