The Waring 40-oz. Brushed Stainless Professional Bar Blender can mix up a margarita or emulsify (combine) liquid ingredients for soup quickly and efficiently. The high-speed blades on this blender move at much higher speeds than an average blender, allowing you to liquefy, puree, and blend food and drinks with smoother consistencies. Gone are the days of stopping your blender to add more ingredients, because this machine features a handy opening in the lid so that you can add ingredients while the blades are moving. Two speed settings allow everything from basic ice crushing to emulsifying more complex sauces and soup bases at the higher speed. The toggle switch makes it easy to switch the 120-volt motor from high to low for excellent results with cream-based soups. The base is an easy-to-clean brushed stainless steel in a classic bar design, and the clear glass blending jar holds up to 5 cups and fits snugly in the base without wiggling. The heatproof container can handle even the hottest of steamed vegetables for liquefying into a protein smoothie. And you’ll never need to search for the missing pieces to your blender because this machine features an attached blade for quick setup.

  • To put things simply, this blender is the essence of what a blender should be. It has everything a blender should have (which many don't) and nothing that it doesn't need (which many blenders do).

Design: The heavy glass carafe is crafted in a unique clover-leaf shape that continuously forces food back into the blades. A side-effect of this design is that while it doesn't *appear* to have a pour spout, it actually has three; Pour lefty, righty, or straight. (Well, four, if you're the kind to chug right from the carafe. I wouldn't, but that's me). The bottom isn't one of those screw-off jobs that never goes back on right. This is solid, one-piece construction... and it still cleans up in seconds.

Usability: Get your blender out of the cabinet. How many buttons does it have? Eight? Twelve? I think my mother's has sixteen (eight buttons, with a two-level switch). Okay, now... how many of those buttons do you use? How many are even labeled in words you *understand*? Two, maybe? That's fine. You've mastered your two-speed food processor, and never wished for six more. The Waring has a three-position toggle switch: High, Low, and Off. Two speeds. It crushes ice on Low, and obliterates it on High. If you want six more buttons, you're delusional.

Power: It crushes ice on Low. That's not enough for you? Okay, how's this action for ya: It makes peanut butter. You might actually need to scrape down the sides once or twice in the beginning before it really gets going, but it requires no oil for emulsification. Natural peanut butter in minutes, at half the price that you'll get it in the store. And this stuff won't separate, either.

This hot little number kicks butt, and isn't bothering to take names.

    I recommend this product.

  • in search of the perfect blender

after witnessing 3 or 4 blenders from costco and others which I thought were to be 'the blender' self destruct, I decided to do a little research. The waring professional bar blender got rave reviews so I bit the bullet and poneyed up for one. I must say, so far so good.
I like it's simplicity, 2 speeds (what are all those speeds for anyway), no funky plastic screw on base( the blades are integrated into a very nice heavy glass jar) and clean lines that look good with any decor. Did I mention that this thing eats ice, fruit and anything else like nobody's business...it does. It also seems create some sort of circulation pulling stuff down to the blades so that I don't have to continually shove things into the top to try to push unblended ingrediants to the bottom of the jar. Bottom line this blender works great, seems to have been designed to last a long time and looks good. Is it worth the price...... ( my only possible complaint)? after my frustration with various cuisinart, oster, hamilton beach ........I say yes

    I recommend this product.

  • This is a fantastic blender, and is perfect for the amateur or pro user. All I really wanted to do was make milkshakes and smoothies, which have been ultra-easy to do. While it takes some adjusting to understand what consistency of each item you're inserting to produce the taste you'd like, it's a fun process. The noise level is slightly high, but it only takes seconds to blend whatever you're making. After all, they put spleens into blenders on Fear Factor, and that didn't take long to chop up. Overall, it looks great in a kitchen and is VERY stylish. Cleanup is a snap.

    I recommend this product.

  • Let-down

The first several times we used the blender to make smoothies, it was a dream. It crushed ice in a matter of seconds, was quiet, and the smoothie was ready very quickly. Now, however, the ice doesn't get crushed all the way even if we let the blender go for a while. I think it has also gotten louder. (We are talking about 3-4 cubes of ice - nothing crazy). Also, it turns out Target has a 48 oz blender for only $99. Overall, a disappointing experience! We used to get much better performance from a $20 Hamilton Beach blender.

  • Great Buy!

I read some of the other review before deciding to purchase this product. I think it's a great product for the money. I bought it to make smoothies and it does a great job. I don't have to stop it and move the contents around with a rubber spatula like before. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

    I recommend this product.

  • Exactly what I've been looking for

This Waring blender is exactly what I've been looking for. I didn't want fancy speeds that I wouldn't use or a plastic housing. This blender is perfect for my needs and I really like having a glass container that won't stain from tomatoes or fruit. I highly reccommend this blender as a powerful kitchen tool.

  • Great Blender, Great Value

Purchased blender for making daily energy shakes and occasional frothy treats; this blender is the perfect choice. Great for icy drinks like frappes and makes my shake very smooth. I like the ease of use and ease of cleaning; not gimmicky, just great function!

  • Excellent Blender

Extremely happy with this blender. Most I've ever paid for one (but still could have paid much more) and I am glad I did. Very solid feel, heavy glass top and who really needs more than 2 speeds? First night out of the box it made some awesome frozen margaritas and handled the ice cudes with no problem. Been using it a lot ever since.

  • Horrible for Smoothie Makers

I thought this blender would replace my cheap ten dollar blender of five years. Boy was I wrong. This blender only lasted a month. The screw, nut and blade fell to the bottom of the carafe. I only made ten smoothies. Wow! I have had good luck with other products by Waring. This blender is not worth the price.

  • Beautiful finish, a workhorse of a blender

We have had Waring bar blenders for many years, replacing them every 5-8 years when the pitcher starts to wear from tons of use. The copper finish on this one is absolutely gorgeous.

  • I gave this to my son and wife as a gift. It seems to work as well as our Waring we bought a few years ago for double the price. I read many reviews before purchasing and decided on this one. It seems to be well built and comes with a very good warranty. There are so many models and most look the same, but they are not.

  • Broken in a week!

Overall the quality of this blender looked great. The carafe was a little small, but not too small. The baldes are not removable for cleaning which makes cleaning hard. Worst thing is that it broke in a little over a week! The nut holding the blades on sheared off! Cooking.com says they will send me another one to replace it. I'll give the second one a go before making my mind up on this one.

  • Great blender

After reading blender reviews I decided upon this one. It is powerful enough to make great smoothies with frozen fruit and ice easily. I like that it only has two power selections. It's also beautiful enough to leave on the counter. A week after I received the blender, I dropped the carafe and broke it. I went to the waring website, ordered another carafe, and it arrived in 3 days. Great company support of the product.

    I recommend this product.

  • Product quality

I had a waring blender a few years ago and for some inappropriate reason when i had to replace it i got a Kitchen Aid. Nice name, not a great blender. Every time i watched Bobby Flay, who uses the Waring, i vowed i would get another when the time came. The Kitchen Aid died and I got the Waring. it is great: two speeds, not 5 or 6 -- who needs that; steady powerful motor, three simple pieces and easy to clean. As Justin Wilson would have said "it a wondermous thing." Phil Jackson

  • I bought this for my wife, since she's burned through every prior one. I kept telling her that it was going to be really poweful, and I thought it was going to be loud with whirlwind, and tornado as the two speed settings.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out how quiet it was, and yet still very powerful.

    Great blender!

  • Awesome performance and style

8 seconds on low for perfect frozen margaritas. No stirring required. We timed it. Zero mess when pouring and leftovers in the carafe go right into the freezer. Clean up is nonexistant. Rinse it out and dry it after use and you are done.

After dealing with a previous ~$50 Smoothie Pro Blender that took about 2 minutes to grind ice, dripped and made a mess everywhere and eventually started leaking I threw it in the garbage. It lasted a grand total of 2 years.

I bought the Waring because I used to work in the food service industry and they have Warings that have been around forever. You get what you pay for. This blender is awesome and will last for a very long time. The copper color is gorgeous.

The only problem I can see is that the carafe is glass, and therefore the potential for breakage is there if dropped.

    I recommend this product.
