The Waring 40-oz. Brushed Stainless Professional Bar Blender can mix up a margarita or emulsify (combine) liquid ingredients for soup quickly and efficiently. The high-speed blades on this blender move at much higher speeds than an average blender, allowing you to liquefy, puree, and blend food and drinks with smoother consistencies. Gone are the days of stopping your blender to add more ingredients, because this machine features a handy opening in the lid so that you can add ingredients while the blades are moving. Two speed settings allow everything from basic ice crushing to emulsifying more complex sauces and soup bases at the higher speed. The toggle switch makes it easy to switch the 120-volt motor from high to low for excellent results with cream-based soups. The base is an easy-to-clean brushed stainless steel in a classic bar design, and the clear glass blending jar holds up to 5 cups and fits snugly in the base without wiggling. The heatproof container can handle even the hottest of steamed vegetables for liquefying into a protein smoothie. And you’ll never need to search for the missing pieces to your blender because this machine features an attached blade for quick setup.

  • To put things simply, this blender is the essence of what a blender should be. It has everything a blender should have (which many don't) and nothing that it doesn't need (which many blenders do).

Design: The heavy glass carafe is crafted in a unique clover-leaf shape that continuously forces food back into the blades. A side-effect of this design is that while it doesn't *appear* to have a pour spout, it actually has three; Pour lefty, righty, or straight. (Well, four, if you're the kind to chug right from the carafe. I wouldn't, but that's me). The bottom isn't one of those screw-off jobs that never goes back on right. This is solid, one-piece construction... and it still cleans up in seconds.

Usability: Get your blender out of the cabinet. How many buttons does it have? Eight? Twelve? I think my mother's has sixteen (eight buttons, with a two-level switch). Okay, now... how many of those buttons do you use? How many are even labeled in words you *understand*? Two, maybe? That's fine. You've mastered your two-speed food processor, and never wished for six more. The Waring has a three-position toggle switch: High, Low, and Off. Two speeds. It crushes ice on Low, and obliterates it on High. If you want six more buttons, you're delusional.

Power: It crushes ice on Low. That's not enough for you? Okay, how's this action for ya: It makes peanut butter. You might actually need to scrape down the sides once or twice in the beginning before it really gets going, but it requires no oil for emulsification. Natural peanut butter in minutes, at half the price that you'll get it in the store. And this stuff won't separate, either.

This hot little number kicks butt, and isn't bothering to take names.

    I recommend this product.

  • in search of the perfect blender

after witnessing 3 or 4 blenders from costco and others which I thought were to be 'the blender' self destruct, I decided to do a little research. The waring professional bar blender got rave reviews so I bit the bullet and poneyed up for one. I must say, so far so good.
I like it's simplicity, 2 speeds (what are all those speeds for anyway), no funky plastic screw on base( the blades are integrated into a very nice heavy glass jar) and clean lines that look good with any decor. Did I mention that this thing eats ice, fruit and anything else like nobody's business...it does. It also seems create some sort of circulation pulling stuff down to the blades so that I don't have to continually shove things into the top to try to push unblended ingrediants to the bottom of the jar. Bottom line this blender works great, seems to have been designed to last a long time and looks good. Is it worth the price...... ( my only possible complaint)? after my frustration with various cuisinart, oster, hamilton beach ........I say yes

    I recommend this product.

  • This is a fantastic blender, and is perfect for the amateur or pro user. All I really wanted to do was make milkshakes and smoothies, which have been ultra-easy to do. While it takes some adjusting to understand what consistency of each item you're inserting to produce the taste you'd like, it's a fun process. The noise level is slightly high, but it only takes seconds to blend whatever you're making. After all, they put spleens into blenders on Fear Factor, and that didn't take long to chop up. Overall, it looks great in a kitchen and is VERY stylish. Cleanup is a snap.

  • Nice sturdy glass jar. I like the fact the blade in stationary and you don't have to have a gasket which will normally wear out and start leaking. Excellent quality.

  • Copper is well done and seems it will hold up quite well. The Waring two speed blender is all I need for all of my blending needs from smoothies to food prep. This unit powers through a full load of ice in no time. Well worth the price. I like the ease of clean up with the blades being part of the glass jar.

  • I have only used it once but it worked as advertised. I must say it will take a little getting used to because I've had a KitchenAid blender for years. That said, I have been waiting for it to bite the dust which it finally did. It's nice to have a one-piece blender as opposed to the other that had to be taken apart every time for cleaning. This Waring is a little more work to clean because I do it by hand instead of the dishwasher. It works very well though and is

  • I did a lot of research before buying this blender since it was on the pricey side. Many of the reviews noted that this blender needed no assembly/disassembly for cleaning, thus eliminating the possibility of leakage from the bottom. I agree that this is a tremendous design feature that allows rapid cleanup and re-use of the blender. It is powerful and beautiful (I got chili red). I haven't used a blender in years but I have used this one every day since I got it. It stays right on the counter and looks great. My other appliances (KitchenAid processor and stand mixer) are relegated to the pantry until I need them.

  • Does an excellent job of making smoothies, which was the reason I purchased it. Instead of having to stop the blender repeatedly to stir up the frozen fruit as I had to with my old blender, I just flip the switch and am done in a flash! Clean up is also easier.

  • I did some research to find the best blender out there, and I kept coming right back to this same fine blender. I'm thrilled with it so far, though I've only had it for a month or so. I have no doubt it will last a good many years.

  • First, its great to have the opportunity to buy American. Second, the price is justified by the superior, quiet, and smooth operation of the product. It chops ice and perfectly blends fruits, etc., with no lumps, if that's how you want it. In summary, it's inexpensive when you consider that you usually get such superior results only from more expensive and heavy duty blenders. I have been using it with pleasure every day for the past four months.

  • Powerful blender with interesting design. The blade is not removable like other blenders so while that may reduce spills it tends to make cleaning somewhat more difficult. I was apprehensive about the basic hi/low blender settings but it does a good job nonetheless.

  • This is the best blender I have every had. It blends fruits, ice in seconds and is very quiet. I had a Back to Basic Smoothie machine that had the spout break after making a smoothie dailly for our two year old grandson(the machine was very noisy and scared our grandson). The Waring blender is so quiet and quick that our grandson is right next to me when I make him a smoothie!!! I like that it has only two speeds; no need for any more. I have also puree soups in it very quickly. It is a great blender!!

  • I am very pleased with this Waring professional blender! It operates very smoothly and quietly but has a lot of power. I had the same blender for about 6 years but it never ran so smoothly and was also quite loud and rough sounding. I realize now that it must have had problems from the start. This one is a huge improvement and I would definitely reccommend it to others who want a dependable and attractive kitchen appliance.
