You'll feel just like a coffee barista when you're using this Jura-Capresso 8.8-oz. Brushed Stainless Burr Coffee Grinder. This innovative computer-controlled coffee grinder features special grinding heads that are capable of grinding beans into grains as fine as 0.1 millimeter. Its multiple-gear motor allows for slow-grinding action with a conical burr grinder; slow grinding helps to retain the maximum flavor and aroma from all coffee beans, but makes it much quieter than most coffee grinders in its class for more pleasant use. It has a clear bean container, so you can keep visual track of the beans remaining in the unit, and it has a tight-fitting coffee ground container that holds up to 4 ounces of ground coffee, which is plenty for making a regular-size pot. The grounds container and bean container can be removed and washed in the dishwasher. It is lightweight and compact, which makes it easy to store it when not in use. This grinder ships with a measuring scoop for your convenience, and comes with a one-year limited warranty from the manufacturer for peace of mind.

Features:

  • Offers 16 grind sizes for versatile use, including extra fine, fine, regular and coarse
  • Reduced noise and minimal static buildup, thanks to gear-reduction motor design
  • Slow grinding speed preserves the bean's natural flavor and aroma
  • Clear bean container holds up to 8.8 ounces of beans and up to 4 ounces of ground coffee so that you can grind enough for a crowd quickly
  • Comes with a measuring scoop and cleaning brush for your convenience
  • Capacity: 8.8-oz. beans/4-oz. grounds
  • Cleaning & Care: Removable bean container and grounds container are dishwasher safe. Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Brush provided to clean interior grinding chamber.

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS:

  • We have purchased this grinder along with a Delonghi Bar40 espresso maker and are very pleased with both products thus far. The grinder does a quality job and the grind comes out perfect every time. We have not had a problem with this unit yet and are very pleased with the results so far. I did some research before purchasing the product as well as the Delonghi Bar40. For the price, they are both quality products. I did not read a bad review for either one of these products and would recommend them to others. They are great for first time espresso brewers like myself.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great for Pump Espresso and everything else!

I am not a coffee expert, but I had a cheap ($30 burr grinder) that I've used for a month with my espresso machine before buying this one. What a difference!!! Great quality and looks good too. This is $140 grinder and now on sale for $89.99 (for a “black” one)
I really don't think you would be able to get better results with anything in its price range. (Unless you spent over $200)

So it is the best burr grinder under $100 and is worth investing in it. Also, I’ve read reviews and compared it to Solis Maestro/Baratza Maestro Plus which are ($115-$150) and they get same ratings (one person even had experience with both and recommended the Capresso Infinity)
I haven’t tried others in it’s price range, but am very happy with the product and will recommend it to friends and family. For Pump-Espresso--best to use the 2nd set of 4 settings, since 1st 4-settings are for Turkish Espresso-very fine.

Cooking.com’s service was great, and very fast shipping (a lot faster than confirmation eamil said it would be)

    I recommend this product.

  • Nice grinder

This was a gift for my husband. He is very picky and tends to find every little flaw and fault with products. So far he has been very happy with this grinder. It works well, the grind is consistent, it isn't messy like the big Kitchenaid burr grinder.

  • Good Value - Good Performance

This grinder does exactly what it is supposed to do. It can grind coffee however fine or coarse you want it. For $90, it is the best conical burr grinder you can get for the money.

  • Great for coffee enthusiasts!

I gave this to my Dad for XMAS and he loved it! I bought this and the Torrefazzione variety pack of whole bean coffee. Now, he's running a coffee shop in his kitchen and couldn't be happier!

Does a much better job than our old Cuisinart burr grinder. Quieter and easier to clean too. It is much more expensive however. But I think it is worth the price.

  • Solid product at a decent price

After my previous burr grinder died, I pulled out the old reliable blade grinder that was stashed in the pantry, only to realize how much better the ground coffee results were with the burr grinder. After some detailed research I selected the Capresso Black Infinity and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. A reasonable price when compared to other similar units didn't hurt a bit either!

    I recommend this product.

  • Good grinder

The only complaint is that the grind container tends to shimmy out of its slot a bit while the grinder is grinding due to vibration. But it's not a too big of a problem since it does not come out so far that the grinds spill all over the place. This grinder is compact, quiet and produces very consistent grinds. Good for home use. I brew a 10-cup pot almost every day.

    I recommend this product.

  • good, but a little pricey

Greatly improved coffee flavor with burr grinder vs blade grinder.
Easy to use. Have found I can use a slightly finer setting than recommended and use less coffee beans and still get great flavor and bold taste.
    The grind is consistent.

  • Very impressive grinder. Quieter than any I've had before, and remarkably little static problems even in the dry air of southern Arizona. This machine replaced a Cuisinart CCM-16PC which was in the same price range. The Capresso is significantly quieter, the grind is more even, and compared to the Cuisinart, static problems are non-existent (at least in the medium grinds I use). There may be quite a few more expensive grinders, but I'd be willing to wager they can't do any better than the Capresso when it comes to grinding coffee.

  • Performs beyond expectations

I bought this grinder so my coffee grinds would be a uniform small size. I didn't really expect the coffee to taste better--but it does! Even family and friends who didn't know about the new grinder commented on my coffee. The unit functions as advertised, and is easy to use. I'm very glad I bought it.

  • Even Grind ... quiet!

How nice to grind coffee and not rattle the entire house! Very consistent grind ...easy to clean. I wasn't sure if the difference between conical grind and blade grind was more than hype. But it is better. Faster, smoother, more consistent and certainly quieter!

I do wish Capresso would change it's timer mechanism to reflect how many cups are being ground. I understand it would be a best guess ... but the timer isn't particularly accurate for consistently judging how much coffee to make.

    Product is recommended!

  • The infinity grinder is better than other more economical grinders. I don't regret the purchase. I think it's a good value and an enormous improvement over the melitta burr grinder that I used before it. However, now that I've learned more about coffee, I would invest in a better (more expensive) if I were to purchase a grinder now.

  • Buy it, you won't be sorry!

I looked at many reviews for conical burr coffee grinders, which come in a wide range of prices. This one was a reasonable price, in fact at the low end of the scale, and received good reviews. I'm very happy with the grinder, and think it was an excellent value. The conical burr really does make a difference in the flavor of the coffee. I read some complaints that the grinder is too loud and static electricity causes some of the grounds to get on the counter when the container is removed. People with those issues must be very sensitive, because I find the grinder to be relatively quiet (you are grinding up hard coffee beans, after all) and there is no more mess than any of the other methods for getting coffee into a pot or filter. The grinder also seems well made and substantial. For the price, I think you'll be very happy with this grinder.

  • Great burr grinder for short money

After recently delving into roasting my own coffee I quickly realised the inadequacy of my old blade coffee grinder. I looked at other reviews and came up with this Capresso which, after a month of use, has been marvelous. The main complaint I'd read with other burr grinders in its price range was static electricity spewing coffee everywhere. No problem with the Capresso. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and gives me a great grind. For the money, and perhaps even for substantially more money, there's nothing here not to like.
