The Best!!!

This is by far the best food processor I have ever owned. It is also the easiest to operate. The DVD that came with it helps too.

Prep 9 food processor review

Overall, this is a good food processor. It replaced a "La Machine" processor that was purchased in 1987 that finally died. The Prep 9 is very quiet, heavy, and easy to use. I used it for shredding cabbage and chopping onions, and will be using it for other tasks. The blades are, as stated in the documentation, very sharp. The DVD that came with the processor is useful. The food processor appears to be well constructed. However... The safety switch in the base intermittently jams and thus the top cannot be installed. The simplest "fix" is to lightly depress the switch (with a pen, for instance) - this permits the whole assembly to come together as intended. For the money I paid, I expected better quality.

The machine is heavy, and seems well built! I received it with a chip on the lid, but doesn't affect the fitting, so am using it. I have only used it thus far for a pie crust and shredding some cheese. I like making pie crust by hand, I think. The crust seemed tough, but maybe it was their recipe in the book. Cheese grated fine, but mozerella last night seemed to stop it up, bog it down, even though it was part skim, and dryer. Cheddar shredded well in it! A little nervous that I gave my old one away, now! Too new to know, I'll just have to keep using it to see.

Good machine with a few disappointments

I found the product hard to assemble. It looked real easy in the video. Also, I was disappointed with the accessories. The shredding disk is too coarse for most purposes. Also would prefer the slicing disk to be a little finer. Other than that, the machine works well and does the job quickly. Hopefully, also it will prove to be durable. It looks well made.

Excellent Product!

This will be my second Cuisinart, I lost the first one in a move and have been missing it ever since! I was thrilled to find this one on Cooking.com at such an excellent price! VERY pleased with this and would reccommend one to anyone who has been wanting one and/or does a lot of cooking!

Very nice food prep processor

Good product for home and light professional use. I do all the cooking at home as this is my passion and helps me relax after 12-14 hour work day. This appliance makes short work of food prep.

i was so pleased when i received the food processor. it is so attractive that we had to make room for it on the counter. we used it right away and it was great! so easy to use. we love it

great timesaver

very pleased with the Prep 9. has been a few years since I used a food processor. seemed to take too much time to get food ready to process. with the Prep 9's wider food chute, it's not as critical. made scalloped potatoes last night.It actually took longer to peel the onion than slicing the potatoes and onion, and shredding cheese to top them.

Replaced the Cuisinart I've had for decades

I've had the 9-cup version of the Cuisinart Food Processor for years and have really loved it. No problems ever. Finally decided to move up to the new model as it has a slightly smaller footprint and a beautiful stainless finish that looks great on my counter and matches our newer kitchen appliances.Thought about it for months, but the excellent price-for-value offered by Cooking.com finally tipped the scales, so I bought the new model. (I gave my old processor to my sister-in-law and it should be good for a few more years.)

Having now used the new model a few times, I can see that Cuisinart has been steadily improving their product. It looks beautiful. Accessories don't take up quite so much room in the cabinet. Everything works brilliantly -- exactly as advertised.

Love it!

I have been wanting a food processor for over a year so that I could take my cooking skills to a new level. I've had my eye on this particular processor for about 6 months and my husband purchased it for me for Christmas. Needless to say, it was one of the first things I used after the holiday and I am not disappointed. Super easy to learn to use. Solid construction and even lovely sitting out on the counter in my kitchen. Great processor for the price!

Love it so far!!!

I received this as a Christmas gift and I've already used it a couple of times and I love it. The size of the bowl, and the unit itself, is big enough for any of my needs without being overwhelming and taking up too much counter space. The DVD was very informative and a big plus. I would highly recommend this product to my friends.

Simple to use

This food processor is a great tool & doesn't require watching a DVD to figure out how to use it. Love it!

It really works!!

I unwrapped it, watched the video, and went to the kitchen and started to use it....it does exactly what they say it will do. Very smooth running, extremely sharp blades, and easy to wash. I should have purchased it a long time ago.

Words cannot express the pleasure i have when using this. I make up sauces and recipes just to use it. I love it!

I'm So Glad I Purchased This!!!

I looked at many Processors and decided on this one because it came with a DVD, Recipe Book and had the appropriate measuring size. Cooking preparation is so much faster when I throw it in this processor. Most of all, the cleaning process is even easier. I just rinse and set aside to air dry. I couldn't have made a better purchase.

Am very happy with my Cuisinart 9 cup processor. It is everything I wanted in a processor. Am so happy with it that I ordered a second processor for a Christmas gift and the recipient was very very happy as well.

some of the parts are hard to put together, IE extentions for blade and outer loader' product should have a continous shredder shooter attachment

My daughter wanted a food processor for Christmas. After much research, I chose this model. Upon receiving it, I was thrilled with the quality of the product. Compared to my own food processor, this one is the top of the line. It is well worth the cost. I am proud to give it as a gift.
