Create a simple, satisfying meal or add some pizzazz to your next potluck with a delectable dish cooked in the Cuisinart 5.5-qt. Chef's Classic Enamel Cast Iron Oval Casserole. The cast iron construction ensures even heating, so the casserole's contents cook evenly from top to bottom. Because you can move the dish from oven to stovetop to broiler, it's simple to execute one-pot multistep recipes. Lift and move the casserole using the sturdy side handles, which are wide enough to grip even with padded potholders. A tight-fitting lid keeps moisture inside, so foods don't lose flavor or dry out as steam escapes the pot, and an oven-safe knob makes it easy to open the lid to check on your meal as it cooks. The inside of this casserole is coated in a smooth enamel that resists odors and stains, so every new meal is a fresh start. This dishwasher-safe casserole comes with a limited lifetime warranty, and the attractive porcelain exterior makes it a hit at parties. Features:
  • Cast iron construction retains heat and holds up to everyday use
  • Enameled interior is nonreactive so you can use it with acidic foods
  • Tight-fitting lid holds in heat for more efficient cooking
  • Large size lets you cook for a crowd

  • excellent for price

This pot has excellent weight and cooks evenly. The price is excellent. Equivalent models cost twice as much.

  • Great product at an excellent price

This casserole is the perfect size for my family! It heats evenly and quickly, goes from stove top to oven and is amazingly simple to clean as well: faced with baked in pasta noodles with cheese and sauce, I just soaked it in warm soapy water for 30 mins and it all came off with a bit of scrubbing with a sponge!

It's about half the price of a Le Creuset equivalent, and I can't imagine what I'd get for paying that premium. In fact I used that money to buy a second identical casserole, for when company comes over -- I just fit two of these side-by-side in my oven, and in about 40 minutes time cook dinner for 20+ people!

    I recommend this product.

  • learning to cook with enamel cast iron cookwa

I love this casserole. Only problem is after I used it and cleaned it I put it on top of my stove top(electric stove).I turned on the wrong burner and did not realize it. The casserole heated up and stuck to the burner!! Some of the enamel came off the bottom of the pan. Seems this type of cook ware is O K to use on top of the stove but not at a high heat and certainly not a dry heat. My mistake and hopefully this will not effect the cooking in the future use of my new casserole.

    I recommend this product.

I love it! It is everything I expected it to be, well worth the money. It arrived sooner than expected, which is always nice. I only had it a week and used it four times to make the family dinner. It is my favorite cooking utensil!

    I recommend this product.
