The name Le Creuset has been known for decades as a top name in quality, reliable cookware, so much so that whole collections of Le Creuset cookware are often passed down from generation to generation, as much a part of treasured family gatherings as the heirloom recipes that are cooked and served in them. This beautiful Le Creuset Cherry Enameled Cast Iron Handle Skillet is no exception. The quality begins at construction, when durable highly conductive cast iron is crafted into a spacious 15.75-inch pan. Then it's coated on the outside with beautiful bright red enamel, while this inside of the pan is layered in scratch-resistant black enamel that requires no seasoning, meaning it can be on your stove in use before the delivery guy even pulls away from your house. Resistant to chipping and cracking, this Le Creuset Skillet can even be put in the dishwasher for quick and easy cleaning between uses. When you're not busy frying potatoes or searing steak, try baking in this sturdy skillet; it makes an exceptional vessel for cobbler, pie and cornbread. Like other items bearing the Le Creuset name, this skillet will cook evenly and consistently, use after use, and we think you'll soon find it an absolutely indispensable part of your cookware collection.

Best Used For:

This roomy 15.75-inch Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Skillet is an heirloom-quality pan ideal for stovetop or oven use whether you're frying chicken, potatoes or eggs, searing meat, poultry or seafood, or baking biscuits, cakes and casseroles.

  • Give it time

This wonderful pan will be with you forever. It needs to be seasoned to become truly non-stick, and the only way I've found to do that is with use. Use lots of oil the first few times to avoid sticking, and I heat it with soapy water in it on the stove to loosen the tough stuff. Goes from stove to oven to table (it's pretty enough to serve from!).

    I recommend this product.

  • A classic

This 11.75 Le Creuset skillet was expensive for a skillet, but with Le Creuset you really get what you pay for. It is large, but worked well on a regular sized electric burner. It's a bit heavy, but has a handy small handle opposite the long handle that makes carrying easy. I have Le Creuset skillets that I have used regularly for 30 years, and I expect to do the same with this. The hand made quality and classic design make it a winner.

    I recommend this product.

  • This is a wonderful alternative to Teflon. I donated all of my Teflon to Goodwill and am gradually replacing it. This skillet replaces my large Calphalon omelet pan. The only caution is that you must use much lower heat or things will burn. I speak from experience.

    I recommend this product.

  • expensive, but worth it

any le creuset is expensive, so i only buy on sale. i have a flat-top stove and have to replace my cast-iron pan. i'm told i can't use it so i bought this one. it's just like cast iron, although a little smaller. works well, heats evenly. very satisfied with the product.

    I recommend this product.

  • I love my le creuset

Its a beautiful Pan. My cornbread came out delicious. The pot was a little big for my cornbread recipe, but it still tasted good.

    I recommend this product.

  • The skillet works beautifully with frying chicken, pork chops, etc., but it is very heavy; although this is to be expected with a cast iron skillet.

    I recommend this product.
