Cute Casserole Dish But.....

This casserole dish is very cute but I cannot see it being used for its intended purpose as it would not hold even 1 serving without boiling all over the stove or oven. That being said I bought it with the intent of using it for storing spices as it was discribed as having a tight fitting lid. It does not have what I would call a tight fitting lid as it just sits on top and moves all over the dish. I was disappointed at this and will see if I can figure out another use for it as it was pretty pricey. Although I know LeCreuset products are expensive they are usually worth the price. I would not pay that much again for this. About half the price I paid would be a far better price.

I really did not take into account the actual size an 8oz container is. Maybe if it had been described in inches or something else I would have had a better picture in my mind. Oh well, it makes a cute decoration.

I have been looking everywhere for small covered containers to keep my salt & pepper in. These work perfectly. I tried to find ones like Giada uses but had no luck. These are great and I love their look on my counter. Highly recommended.

I use this as butter keeper, therefore, I am not alb e to speak for how it does in the oven.

This little red container is perfect for extra pepper or other spices that have been ground. I keep it beside my glass salt container next to the stove.
