This is an awesome product. Just be sure to really pack the butter in tight in order to create a good seal.

This is one of the most-used items in my kitchen. We like butter instead of margarine, but hadn't found a good way to keep it spreadable. If we just left it out on the counter, it became rancid by the end of the day. Now that we keep it in this water crock, it stays fresh and soft. It's best when we change the water daily.
I had another butter pot that was shaped differently, but it was too hard to use because the butter fell out every time. This crock has a well-designed lip to keep the butter in the lid. Plus it's attractive enough to leave on the table. Form meets function, perfectly.
Pricey, but I do really love it

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's hard butter that's impossible to spread. The idea of a butter crock is a great one, but clearly some aren't designed as well as others. I have heard that the butter will fall out of some crocks, but that does not happen with this one. Yes it's expensive, but we do use this in our house everyday. The butter is always the perfect consistency for our morning toast and it's a beautiful piece in my kitchen.

the butter keeper holds just enough butter and ready to use, soft and spreadable. I keep it out on the counter and change the water as often as I fill the butter, every few days.

The butter dish is perfect for me. I had looked at other butter pots, but was going to have to settle on white or yellow when I came across this color. It was just the color I was hoping for and above all, I enjoy having soft butter without worrying how many days it's been out on the counter without it being refrigerated. I had wanted to order one of these butter pots for quite a long time but was always hesitant, but I am happy I finally did it.
Another fun thing is..when people come over and see it for the first time they always ask
