Clean, Quick, Easy, Excellent!

This tool manages to get every drop of juice from the orange with far less elbow grease than it takes to manually juice. Now I make my own OJ every day!

This was purchased as a gift (for my daughter in law). I've had mine for about 10 years now, and use it on a weekly basis--limited counterspace prevents me from buying a dedicated juicer and frankly, I don't feel I need one.

Though a little costly for a piece of plastic, since it is an accessory to the wonderful Kitchen Aid stand mixer, I guess that's to be expected. It is easy to use and performs well, so I am satisfied with the purchase.

The major fault with this product is that it's messy. The juice goes over hands and splashes when squeezing the citrus.

Limited Use

by Ileen, WA
February 8, 2007

The juicer works well for one or two oranges, limes, etc. But I do large quantities and the strainer is too small to contain the pulp, it has to be removed too frequently. The vertical design is awkward and requires more muscle for large batches. I gave up and purchased a smaller, inexpensive juicer which has less motor power but has a better design for juicing a box of oranges at one session.

This did what it promised.

I used this to juice a bag of oranges and it did a great job. Like other people mentioned, the strainer didn't work very well. I found that if you buy a stainless steel strainer for the sink and put it over a glass, you can let the juice go straight into a glass and then throw away the pulp between glasses.

Worth the money

I love it. I have juiced oranges and lemons galore. It actually did a better job and was neater then an expensive electric juicer that I had previously borrowed.

This eliminated the extra juicer on the counter and works so much better. Kitchenaid attachments are well worth the investment.

Blood oranges

by DONNA E, OR
March 3, 2007

I got in on the last of the blood orange harvest for 2006 and purchased a crate of them. Now how do you preserve that many oranges? You juice them and make sorbet. Without the Juice Extractor Attachment by KitchenAid it would have taken me 3 or 4 times longer to juice them all by hand and I probably would have ended up with a very sore arm. The Juice Extractor Attachment by KitchenAid saved the day. Now I have flavorful frozen sorbet to eat anytime I want some.

This juicer made short work of a normally 3 day job of hand juicing my citrus fruit. It was fast, got all the juice from each lemon and grapefruit, well over 300 fruit. There was no trouble with the size of the fruit. It is easy to store and a snap to clean. LOVE IT.

Yet another great Kitchenaid attachment

by PAMELA, TX
September 18, 2009

I make margaritas with fresh squeezed lime and lemon juice, and one day as I was squeezing them by hand and looking at my Kitchenaid I thought "Why isn't the machine doing the work?" So I did a search and finally found this attachment. It makes quick work of juicing limes and lemons and I look forward to trying it on all the oranges and grapefruit we always get over the holidays.

KitchenAid does it all!

by Layne, UT
May 22, 2010

This has been a great addition to an already very useful appliance. I needed to replace ana aging juice extractor so when I found this piece, I decided it would be worth a try to use an appliane I already owned.

I love it! It works very well and the vertical, front-mounted design is a plus. Plcae a glass underneath and voila!, fresh juice in jiffy and cleanup is a non-event.

Well done KitchenAid!

Better by hand

by Lauren, TX
August 4, 2010

I bought this juicer thinking it would save me time. I squeeze 25 lemons a week to make homade lemonade. I would rather spend the time squeezing them by hand than using this juicer. I didnt get near the amount of juice i should have out of the lemons. It took me using 32 lemons i think to get the same amount of lemon juice i get when i squeeze by hand. dont waste your money.

Juicer

by Dana, AL
May 28, 2011

Juicing oranges with this juicer is very messy. The juice ran down my hand and arm and splashed all over the counter. I'd like to drink the juice not wipe it up. It is very easy to attach to the mixer.
