My husband used the juicer only once and it was a little difficult to get the juice out, but he finally was able to get enough juice out of the oranges to fill a glass. Once he got started he figured out how to hold the orange in order to get better results. It wasn't as sturdy as it should have been, and we were both surprised that Kitchenaid would present something that was not as sturdy as it should have been.

i was slightly disappointed in this particular product. it works well and just like it says it would, but i dont think i read it all that clearly, because i didnt realize i would take part in the juicing process quite as much as i do.

Makes juicing easy

I wonder why it took me so long to get this product. Squeezing lemons for cooking has always been a hassle. With this attachment juicing is super easy. I would recommend this for everyone - never hand juice again.

The product was very easy to install and use. Clean-up is simple as most of it can go in the dishwasher. It didn't seem to get quite as much juice out the lemons we used it on as doing it by hand, but it was much easier and less stressful.

Juice Extractor

Much more efficient than stand alone small juicers. Attachment is easy to install, easy to clean and makes short work of citrus. Gets all thejuice out and quickly.

I love fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and though this was a little messy (as most juicers are) it juiced like a champ! I love it!

Juice extractor works well. This is very helpful for some folks with arthritis. It is easy to manage the fruit and I can extract lemons and oranges particularly well, so far. I have not used it for anything else as yet.

Does exactly what it claims to do. Gets about twice as much juice from a lime as I could squeeze from it by hand. Easy to clean up.

The Juice is on you...

by Thomas, RI

The good:
It works -- it will juice from a lime up to a grapefruit.
It is easy to clean.

The not-so-good:
It's messy.
The juice gets all over your 'holding' hand
The strainer clogs up within seconds with the pulp; you are better off removing the strainer and straining the juice after you are done.
The juice doesn't exactly flow neatly down the spout; it tends to splash some so you need something much wider than a glass under the spout to catch the liquid.

It takes some hand / finger strength to hold the fruit up against the center cone long enough to get the juice out. I wouldn't want to do more than a few lemons/limes at a time.

This product is everything I need. Much easier than the reamer I was using to hand juice. Attaches easily to the mixer and cleans up nicely. It can be a little messy but I don't mind; it seems to depend on what speed you put the mixer on. I am perfectly happy with this product.

The problem with this juicer is the juice doesn't go into the container easily. Juicers that fit on the top of a container work better.

Luv it

I got tired of the old fashion hand twist contraption for juicing my citrus for cooking. Looked on-line for the Kitchen Aid attachment & cookin.com had the least expensive one. Attaching, detaching and clean up all a breeze and it juices well too. Couldn't be happier.

I think it is awkward to use. The strainer caught the pulp but then the juice could not penetrate the pulp. Pushing the fruit horizontally was, again, awkward.
I found a countertop juicer on sale for less and love it.
I am debating whether to spend the $ to ship it back or just give it to someone else and see if they like it any better.

This juicer is very simple, easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store. The only thing is it squeaks when fruit is pressed in for juicing.
