Make breakfast extra special when you prepare your favorite citrus juices and beverages the old-fashioned way with this SCI/Scandicrafts, Inc. Citrus Juicer that expresses juice from oranges, grapefruits and other yummy fruits without the need for electricity. Thanks to its easy portability, making healthy, thirst-quenching juices on the fly is now a simple task. The juicer's 6-inch diameter is sized to handle even large fruits or fruit sections, and the streamlined construction and uncomplicated design means almost anyone can turn fresh fruit into a tasty beverage with ease. Just halve an orange or other fruit, position it on the center of the juicer and turn until juice is expressed and collected in the juice trough. Because you can adjust the pressure on the fruit being juiced, you can get the maximum amount of juice from your fruit while controlling the amount of pulp you allow to pass through. The easy-to-grip handle makes juicing more efficient and expedient, while the pouring spout on the juicer lets you pour juice into a glass or other container cleanly, keeping messes to a minimum. Features:
  • Manually powered juicer requires no electricity for easy portability

  • Simple Juicer

Simple is better. Finally a product that doesn't require an operator's manual in 10 different languages! It even works when the power goes out.

    I recommend this product.

  • Attractive and functional. Great for lemons and limes, and that was the reason I bought it. A bit small for oranges, but still works. Why are these hand juicers so hard to find? Thank you Cooking.com for having it so readily available and well priced.

    I recommend this product.

  • NOT made in China...I hope so

There are a few air bubbles in the glass, however they are deep in the glass and pose no breaking problem unless you put it in the oven, or do something else off label. The box said it's made in Taiwan, however the juicer itself has no country of origin stamped on it. It works for limes and other small citrus. I'm not so sure about larger fruit such as grapefruit.

    I recommend this product.

  • Glass citrus juicers.

I prefer glass citrus juicers, because glass doesn't react with foods. This one is a bit small, compared to my other one, which I've had for years. Maybe they've shrunk them over the years to save money? I also noticed, after reading Made in China, a couple of air bubbles in the glass. That's not good. From what I understand, it means more easily broken. Whatever, it is nice to have a glass citrus juicer again, since my other once is hopefully, somewhere in storage.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great juicer!

This is definitely not for someone who wants to juice an abundance of fruit but it's perfect for a few lemons, limes or oranges! I don't know why people complained about it! I think it's great!

    I recommend this product.

  • Not Impressed..

I returned it..it is not as advertised, much smaller, and totally not usable unless you are juicing key limes or something tiny. It is way too small for an orange, and grapefruits will just laugh at it. I ended up going to an antique store and finding an old vaseline glass version that is full size and nice. Don't waste your money on this product.

  • the glass citrus juicer is nice and heavy so that it does not tend to slip around while juicing fruits. It is a great size for lemons and limes, but could be a little larger (wider at the base.

  • Great but too small for oranges

The juicer works perfect and since I use it for lemons and limes, it is just what I want. I tried it with and orange once but the center section was not large enough to ream it properly.

  • Small but handy

This has a very small cone so best used for lemons and limes. I was a bit disappointed, I had hoped to be able to use it for oranges as well. It does work on oranges but leaves a lot of juice so have to hand squeeze the remainder. But for lemons, limes and SMALL oranges it works great!

    I recommend this product.

  • Finally found it

Been looking forever to replace old glass one that got broken - poss. antique. Tried those you squeeze with one hand , those that separate juice & seeds but this is the best for getting all the juice that is there - big deal you have to pick out a few seeds.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great old-fashioned juicer

We were looking for a good, non-mechanical (no moving parts), glass juicer. Great for lemons, limes and oranges - may be a little small for grapefruit. Seems like good quality glass - we don't have a diswasher (gasp!) so it is handwashed. Would highly recommend.

  • Not for OJ - it's a lemon juicer

I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this. As someone else mentioned, it is too small for oranges or grapefruit. Other than that, it is a quality product.

  • The size of the juicer does not show. I thought it was bigger. It really is a lemon juicer, not a citrus juicer I thought I was buying. I wish you had the exact same product in much larger for all citrus fruit including grapefruits.
I was trying to replace a larger juicer I had broken.

  • Some things are tried and true and this is one of them! Very handy, comvenient and best of all easy to clean! I had been using a small wooden reemer but the pulp kept sticking to it - this is wonderful - just like the one Grandma had when I was a kid!
