I thought the butter was going in "huge open" part . . . not the smaller 'cup'. But, tried it . . . When I turned cup upside down to place in 'larger' part . . . butter just falls out. If I had a cover for the 'larger' part - would LOVE it . . .

Every morning we need to microwave the butter slightly to soften it for our toast. Now, it is spreadable every morning and ready to use. My only critique is I wish it held two sticks of butter instead of one.

I've never seen a butter bell crock so when I saw it I thought why not try it. I am so glad I did. It works wonderfully. I had bought one for my sister and it was neat. We had her over for dinner and she loved the butter crock. She, as with me, had never seen it before and she couldn't believe how good it worked. She said she wanted one. It was great because I pulled the box and she was shocked and very happy. Love it, love it, love it.

When I saw the Butter Bell Crock I was excited. When I received it I followed directions and the butter got overly soft. The next time I went to use the butter, it had come out of the lid and was sitting in the water. Could this be because I live in Arizona and it is so hot here? I don't know, but I am saying it is the reason this product did not work for me.

My butter doesn't have that funny taste like you have with those oblong butter dishes. It could stand to cost about $5 cheaper.
