Don't guess about your family's safety — make sure the meat you prepare is fully cooked by checking its internal temperature with this easy-to-use Taylor Connoisseur Series Digital Instant Read Thermometer. This thermometer quickly reads the internal temperature of all types of meat, from turkey to standing ribs and pork roast, so you know whether it is done cooking and safe to eat. This multipurpose thermometer is crafted to last, thanks to construction using stainless steel with a glass display screen lens for added durability. The stem on this unit is a full 4 inches long, which makes it ideally sized for use with most foods. It features a temperature range from 58 degrees F to 446 degrees F, so you can use it with nearly any recipe. Silicone grips on the side allow for easy and safe handling of the thermometer during use and to prevent the unit from rolling. Its dial is designed to be easy to read, so you can see the temperature of your food at a glance. It comes with a durable plastic stem case that protects the probe while not in use. The stem case is equipped with a pocket clip for added convenience, so you can stick it in your pocket while you're busy with other tasks.

Features:

  • Easy-to-read screen shows you the temperature of your meat with no dials to read
  • An on/off button and an automatic feature that turns the thermometer off conserves power
  • Probe is easy to insert into your meat and provides an accurate reading
  • Dial size: Read out is 3/8-in.
  • Dimensions: 5-in. l x 2-in. d
  • Material: Stainless Steel & Silicone
  • Origin: USA

  • Good quality for the price

I bought this product to have for Thanksgiving. Upon opening the packaging I found there were no instructions. After about fifteen minutes of messing around with it, I decided the battery must be dead. Without instructions, I could not see where the battery was or how to change it. After almost breaking it, I finally found how to open the bottom of it to change out the battery. After that, all was good and I'm glad I didn't spend more. I didn't mean for this to sound negative, I really am glad I bought it.

    I recommend this product.

  • A good thermometer if you can get past a few

It seems like this thermometer cost more than it should have, but the added shipping and handling probably made it seem worse than it actually was. The most notable thing about this product was how IMPOSSIBLE it seemed to be to remove it from it's plastic packaging without BREAKING it!! It was extremely difficult and took a very long time. Apparently, I didn't break mine after all (but it was "iffy"). I still don't understand at all what the four different settings on it mean: sometimes it reads enable; sometimes disable; sometimes on; and sometimes off. Why can't it just be on or off? I have no idea if I'm leaving the thing on and running the battery down. Other than that, it seems to work very well and is easy to read, but it just isn't very attractive at all. It looks like a factory part or something - not something aesthetically pleasing for a modern day kitchen.

    I recommend this product.

Used it a few times and then it went dead. Okay, replace the battery even though it was only a couple months old. Replacing the battery was an absolute pain to the point of bending the head trying to seperate the item to get to the battery. Clearly not worth the purchase. To me it is clear my thermometer was sitting in some inventory somewhere for a very long time for my battery to go dead so quickly after getting the item. A total waste of money especially having to also pay for shipping on such an item. it is sitting in my drawer dead. To add insult to injury the skewer cover does not even stay on.

  • Horrible packing, and did not work!

You were kind enough to send a second when the first one didn't work, and both were miserable to open.Unfortunately neither one worked!!! Bad product! Directions on the package left much to be desired. No explanation of how to locate and open to get to the battery.

  • New thermometer

I'm happy with the thermometer, was unhappy that I had to pay shipping charges on both items separately, should be able to combine shipping to keep charges lower. Will think seriously about that before ordering anything else from the site.

    I recommend this product.
