The Good, the Bad, but not Ugly
I give the product a rating of 3, not because it's a bad product, but because I was disappointed. I have several Kitchen Aid products in my kitchen, I find them to be quite excellent. This hand blender appears to work as well as any other hand blender on the market. The fit and finish on the kitchen are high quality; the motor appears to be quite powerful, and I expect it will prove to be dependable and long-lasting.
I selected this model because it was on sale at Cooking.com, and I thought the extra attachments would prove useful. As stated above, the standard "S" blade appears to work just about the same as many other brands'; it does the job. I made a smoothie with it and it did chop up the bananas. But when I used the whisk attachment on a half pint of whipping cream, I was disappointed. In five minutes of constant beating, using the various speed settings, it failed to produce a smooth, thick peaks. I'll try it again and hope I discover the first attempt was due to operator error.
I haven't used the chopper attachment yet. I'm hoping my pico de gallo turns out better than my whipped cream.
I recommend this product.
