Can't keep up with the requests for your famous margaritas? Or maybe you need the perfect smoothie to get you going in the morning? This retro-looking blender will perform to professional standards. An exact replica of the original Waring from 1935, it combines classic looks with reliable features, like a 350-watt processor that liquefies and purees as easily as it crushes ice and a sturdy base that won't wobble during use. Add in powders, fruit or other ingredients through the secure lid opening as the machine runs - the stopper doubles as a measuring device. The heat-proof glass jar has a 5 cup capacity and is dishwasher safe. Two speeds are all you need to be blending in style, and the sleek new colors add some fun to kitchen décor. Even the consummate party thrower will have a hard time wearing this one out!

  • To put things simply, this blender is the essence of what a blender should be. It has everything a blender should have (which many don't) and nothing that it doesn't need (which many blenders do).

Design: The heavy glass carafe is crafted in a unique clover-leaf shape that continuously forces food back into the blades. A side-effect of this design is that while it doesn't *appear* to have a pour spout, it actually has three; Pour lefty, righty, or straight. (Well, four, if you're the kind to chug right from the carafe. I wouldn't, but that's me). The bottom isn't one of those screw-off jobs that never goes back on right. This is solid, one-piece construction... and it still cleans up in seconds.

Usability: Get your blender out of the cabinet. How many buttons does it have? Eight? Twelve? I think my mother's has sixteen (eight buttons, with a two-level switch). Okay, now... how many of those buttons do you use? How many are even labeled in words you *understand*? Two, maybe? That's fine. You've mastered your two-speed food processor, and never wished for six more. The Waring has a three-position toggle switch: High, Low, and Off. Two speeds. It crushes ice on Low, and obliterates it on High. If you want six more buttons, you're delusional.

Power: It crushes ice on Low. That's not enough for you? Okay, how's this action for ya: It makes peanut butter. You might actually need to scrape down the sides once or twice in the beginning before it really gets going, but it requires no oil for emulsification. Natural peanut butter in minutes, at half the price that you'll get it in the store. And this stuff won't separate, either.

This hot little number kicks butt, and isn't bothering to take names.

    I recommend this product.

  • in search of the perfect blender

after witnessing 3 or 4 blenders from costco and others which I thought were to be 'the blender' self destruct, I decided to do a little research. The waring professional bar blender got rave reviews so I bit the bullet and poneyed up for one. I must say, so far so good.
I like it's simplicity, 2 speeds (what are all those speeds for anyway), no funky plastic screw on base( the blades are integrated into a very nice heavy glass jar) and clean lines that look good with any decor. Did I mention that this thing eats ice, fruit and anything else like nobody's business...it does. It also seems create some sort of circulation pulling stuff down to the blades so that I don't have to continually shove things into the top to try to push unblended ingrediants to the bottom of the jar. Bottom line this blender works great, seems to have been designed to last a long time and looks good. Is it worth the price...... ( my only possible complaint)? after my frustration with various cuisinart, oster, hamilton beach ........I say yes

    I recommend this product.

  • This is a fantastic blender, and is perfect for the amateur or pro user. All I really wanted to do was make milkshakes and smoothies, which have been ultra-easy to do. While it takes some adjusting to understand what consistency of each item you're inserting to produce the taste you'd like, it's a fun process. The noise level is slightly high, but it only takes seconds to blend whatever you're making. After all, they put spleens into blenders on Fear Factor, and that didn't take long to chop up. Overall, it looks great in a kitchen and is VERY stylish. Cleanup is a snap.

  • Super Good Blender!

I got this to start whipping up protein smoothies in the morning and it has no problem crushing up whole pieces of frozen fruit and ice. Clean-up is really easy and I love that it's just one simple switch, on or off with low and high speeds. Definitely recommend this to anyone.

  • Great Basic Blender

This is all you need as a blender. All those other buttons on the old style blenders don't make sense. This one is a great design and with two speeds it is all I need to make smoothies and blend soups etc. I had an old Waring blender (avocado with 9 speeds) that finally died and I'm very happy with this one. I leave it out on the counter because it's very modern and nice looking.

This is my second Professional Bar Blender by Waring. The first one is still in use after 15 years. Why a new one? I got tired of transporting the old one to my summer place. I am glad to find that the quality is as good as it was 15 years ago. I am sure that this one will still be running in 15 years.

  • Waring Professional Bar Blender

This Waring Professional Bar Blender is a pleasure to use. It's a breeze to clean up, mainly because you don't remove the blade assembly. Also, there was a rebate offer for a set of stainless steel bar tools. Usually these things take forever to arrive, but mine came less than two weeks after I sent in the form. Overall, I am totally pleased with my new blender. Thanks, Waring.

  • Good Product

I think overall this is a very good blendor. I purchased this blender for the bar that I work at. It works very well in a commercial environment. The only thing I don't like about it are the glass canisters. I wish that I had found one with plastic ones (I am trying to keep my co-workers from breaking them...)

  • Waring Blender is a superb product!

We purchased the Waring blender because we make protein shakes every day and the cheap blender was leaking and just not cutting it anymore. I found this blender at cooking.com and love that it is all one piece with the blade so you don't have the leakage around the seal and it is easy to wash with a bottle brush. It is super fast that when we put pudding in our shakes you have to watch it because they get so thick you have to eat them instead of drink them. I would recommend that when making mixed drinks to use crushed ice. That is the only thing I have found is that there are still ice chunks in the bottom of my shakes. Other than that it is a great blender and quiter than my last one which is a blessing. Love it and would tell others to purchase this product.

  • I bought one of these last summer, and was dismayed at the funky/rubbery odor that the unit produced. I'm not sure what it was about, but since we needed a blender at the time, I just kept using it. Eventually, the unit quit making that funny smell. I mention the issue, because other reviewers have complained about it, and found it reason enough to return the unit. We were sort of stuck, needing a blender, so I persevered.

It works great, but you do need to load smoothie ingredients into it in the proper order, or you'll be left with ice chunks. (i.e., dumping everything in at once and just turning the unit on is not the way to go.)

I've been careful to wash mine by hand, rinsing it completely immediately after use, and had no particular problem keeping it clean.

    I recommend this product.

  • Waring Blender-It Rocks

If you want a blender to last for life, this is the one! It only has two speeds, but I'll submit you don't need any more than that. More speeds are completely unnecessary. You can do any blending job from drinks to purees for soup and it's just perfect for all of it. Its blades are not removable, making it even more likely to last forever without wearing out. I've wanted a high end blender for years, and I am totally thrilled with this one. Recommend to all!

  • Waring Bar Blender

Several things. First the low noise, always a consideration with blenders. Next ease in cleaning. Even though it does not have removable blades cleanup is a snap with alittle water, blend for a second, and done. Other blenders can corrode at the jar blender base interface. It is powerful enough considering the cost of the unit. There are quieter more powerful units but the cost rises exponetially with those features. Would I recommend this unit. Yes, yes. Also, the red I chose is pretty snazzy. A win win purchase.

This unit powers through a full load of ice in no time. Well worth the price. I like the ease of clean up with the blades being part of the glass jar.
