THE FRYER IS GREAT AND SO EASY TO CLEAN I ENJOY USING.

THE ONE I HAD BEFORE WAS OK BUT NOT EASY TO CLEAN AND THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON I WANTED TO BUY IT.

  • The BEST deep fryer!!

I am so please with my purchase of the deep fryer by Emerilware. I did look at the T-fal version that was a bit cheaper but opted for the digital display and I am glad. The fryer is easy to use and easier to clean up from. I love the fact that I can place all the parts (except heating element) in the dishwasher. My last deep fryer did not do that and no matter what you did it to it still had residual oil on it. Not with the Emeril deep fryer. I have used it about a dozen times and it still looks brand new. I know a couple of people had mentioned about the oil leaking. I was so worried about that after using it the first time that I place it in a big pan just in case. Well, all the oil ended up where it was supposed to go. Anyone who is looking for a new deep fryer will seriously want to consider this one.

    I recommend this product.

  • Pretty Good Product

Best home-use fryer I have used in terms of bringing the oil to temperature and keeping it there. It is easy to clean and the oil filtration is definitely a great improvement on any other method of filtering the oil for reuse.

It would be nice, however, if the cassette that the filtered oil rests in would completely seal when removed from the fryer. The front orifice leaks terribly and a full cassette is almost impossible to transport without making a mess.

That said, I still like it way better than any other similar product I have tried.

  • High Quality, Outstanding Performance!!

This deep fryer far surpassed my expectations. I am in the restaurant business and have extensive experience with commercial frying equipment. The quality reminds me of the equipment that we use in our business. This fryer performs at a high level and will satisfy 99% of the people who buy it. The design and ease of cleaning will astound you! Everything comes apart and can be cleaned in about 5-10 minutes. It still looks like it just came out of the box after using it for several months!!. The oil filtration design is also ingenious. By allowing the oil to be drained and stored outside the cooking area, the unit will not develop grease "build-up" in the areas that normally are hard to clean. Our family likes to cook Mexican Chimichanga's on a weekly basis. Our previous fryer could only cook 2 Chimi's at a time and the recovery time to heat the oil back up was about 10 minutes. This unit allows us to cook 4 Chimi's at a time and the recovery time is instant. You will not be disappointed if you buy this unit!!

  • Good product - Excellent T-Fal warrenty

Finally got to cook with our Emerilware Deep fryer by T-Fal. Got fryer in very timely manner with excellent packing. Fryer started to heat up, then went into fault and would not heat up again. After a call to T-Fal's 800 number, they shipped another heating element/control. Enjoyed an excellent fried dinner this evening. Great investment.

  • Great Fryer

I bought this to replace a unit that had failed to stop working while it was cooking one day. I took the time to read the reviews others wrote before deciding to buy. I am glad I listened!!! We have owned deep fryers from a different manufacturer for about 6 years and after the first time using this one I realized we had been using a model from the dark ages. It heats to temperature quickly as well as frying the food quicker than our old one. The food comes out and looks great!!! I have only used it for pork chops and chicken so far but both meats are done to perfection. I like being able to drain the oil into the container and then refrigerate it to keep it from sitting on the counter. I also like that almost all the parts can go into the dishwasher. Even though the heating element cannot go into the dishwasher it cleans quickly in the sink. If you are looking for a deep fryer this is the one to buy!!!

    I recommend this product.

  • It truely is a marvel

My teenage, football playing sons are always after me for fried foods. Being a good dad I try to accoomodate them with what they want. I went through several deep fryers in the past few years, always trying to save money. Then I read the multitude of super reviews on this deep fryer and decided to kick a buck and go for it. I'm sincerely telling you now that you will not regret getting this fryer if you do. It does all the things the people say in these reviews and more. The engineers who dreamed up this system should be given an award. You fry up what you want then let the system cool. ALL of the oil drains to the tank on the bottom. Then you take out the pan, wipe out the crumbles (including tiny particles) that are the solid residue left over, and your unit is ready to go again. You will end up saving money on oil, I use canola, because the filtration system removes all the tiny bits that eventually burn and mar the taste if left in the oil. The heating element is a powerhouse and you won't get soggy, oil soaked fries from oil not hot enough. Everything seems sturdily built, and up to date. I've had this thing about a month now and have used it several times a week. The chicken strips, chimmie chonga's, onion rings, tempura, french fries, pastry;s, etc., will taste like you bought them at take-out. I thought it would fit in my cabinet when not in use, but I underestimated it's size. I found a home for it on my kitchen counter. It looks good and we use it so much anyway. My advise? The bottom line is: If you like fried foods, stop playing around with cheap fryers and buy this one. Your family will love you for it.

    I recommend this product.

  • The best I've had

Since the early 70's, I have had my share of deep fryers, and this is the best. It has all the features I was looking for and works perfect. Oil filtration system is amazing. You may find better, but unless you own a restuarant and want to spend big bucks,WHY? Best deep fried food at home I've had.

  • I like this fryer and it does a good job. I only one thing that I think could be better. I find it cumbersome to fiddle with the lid every time I put something in it or check on it. I think it would be better if the lid were hinged so you wouldnt have to mess with finding a place to put the hot lid down when removing items from the fryer. Another thing, if you accidentally fill the fryer over the max line, you need to be aware that it will overflow on your counter when you are using the filtering feater and emptying the oil into the container. Other than that, it works great.

  • great

This is a great looking fryer with multiple features. The oil drainage system is a definite bonus as well as the easy to clean components. The food capacity is adequate for home applications. The greatest limitation of this appliance is the 1700 watt element. The fryer has lackluster performance and struggles to maintain oil temperature. Obviously propane and 240V fryers can surpass these issues. In comparison to my other Tfal and Presto units, this fryer is identical in its ability to heat up, recover, and maintain. Overall, it is still a good value for the average non-professional user.

The unit frys fine, but the oil drain system has some kind of thermal switch so it wont let you drain the oil when its hot. We didn't know about this feature and switched it to drain and couldnt figure out why it wouldnt drain. After an hour of cooling the unit decided to dump all of its oil on the floor. This switch can be easily and accidently switched without your knowledge and the same oil spill will occur.

  • Awsome Fryer

This is the very best fryer for your home. You can filter the grease with out chemicals and best of all the fryer filters itself once the temperature is correct. If you're buying for your home this is the only fryer! Filtering the grease saves the life of the grease and decreases odors.

I was absolutely amazed at how quick this fryer heated up and how quickly food was ready. My old fryer took about 20 minutes to heat up and another 20 minutes just to cook french fries. This heated up in about 5 minutes and only took about another 7 minutes to make home-made broasted potatoes! I was on cookling cloud 9!
