I bought this for my mom who likes to make fudge. We have not tried it yet but I have my reservations. It has two stickers on the back that came off in the mail. I put them back on but wonder if they will fall off into the fudge?? The reading material is very small and even I had to use a magnifying glass to read the different levels. So I'm not sure if mom will be able to set the setting correctly or not. She definitely will not be able to read it during the cooking process. So knowing she can't see to set it, I am concerned whether this was a good purchase. The battery was hard to insert, and there is no turn off button. So these are my concerns .

This thermometer is top heavy, and will not stay upright. The digital part is much to small to read. Was very disappointed with it. I looked at several and now wished I would have purchased a different one

I bought this thermometer prior to doing all my Christmas candy making, and it made it through 3 batches of toffee before breaking. Thankfully, I had ordered another type of thermometer as a backup, or I would have been in big trouble...

I had been looking for a really good thermometer, and seen this one, read the reviews, ordered it and I am very please with it. I make candy and couldn't find a thermometer that was true, but this one is. It is expensive, but well worth the cost. I would order another one if it went out.
