Patrick and Gina Neely are owners of Neely’s Bar-B-Que in Memphis and Nashville and hosts of the Food Network series Down Home with the Neelys. They have been married since 1994 and live in Memphis with their two daughters (and scores of other kin nearby).
This cook book is easy to follow and I just love the story of the families and how these wonderful receipes came into existance. I would have loved to see more pictures of the finish product. I think this cook is going to make a wonderful stocking stuffer for my family. VA-April

It is also well written and cleverly done. I would definitely recommend this cookbook to any fellow Food Network fan! Can't wait to start cookin'!

I knew it would be a good cookbook by just watching their program on tv, which I watch daily. The receipes are so easy to understand and follow. So far I have already made 4 of the receipes and have only had the cookbook 6 days. They really do taste delicious. Can not wait to cook more of their receipes. The price is awesome. Our family will be having the "Sheppards Pie" tonight. Can not wait. It took about 2 weeks to get the cookbook. I consider this cookbook to be one of my most treasured of all my cookbooks. Do not hesitate to get it, you will be proud that you made the purchase.

The recipes are easy to follow, using ingredients that are either on hand or easily obtainable. The best part is I dont have to go to Memphis to get their BBQ. (although I prefer theirs over mine).

I wanted them to come to my house and just have dinner with me, they were that warm and wonderful. I was delighted when they got their own show and have watched avidly. The love these two have for each other and for their family jumps right off the screen. Love, Family and Food; these are the things that make a great life. The recipes are the best of both worlds. Down home Southern comfort foods and upscale dishes with a dash of Southern Delight. This will go right next to my Paula Deen cookbooks and get used often. I love to cook and I know I will end up cooking all these recipes. YUM!

It just gives such a savory taste. I decided to purchase the book and it is by far the best cookbook that I have owned! My husband loves the recipes and I love the Neelys! They offer recipes that can be made by everyday people for everyday occasions or special ones. There are no far out/gourmet ingredients for their recipes; mostly what is already in the fridge or pantry. Thanks Neelys!

They are the cutest couple and remind me of Chris and myself in the kitchen. The food they cook on the show is comforting and welcoming. I hoped the cookbook would carry those recipes and many more like them. I was not disappointed. The food selections are excellent and the story of their love for each other, family and food warms my heart. I've cooked three meals from the book thus far and they have all turned out great!!! When I cook Chris is right there beside me lending a helping hand or stealing Crumbs. I highly reccommend this product to anyone who enjoys cooking good food.
