This is a completely different timer than usual.
It takes a bit of getting used to and you have to develop the art of reading it.
But my hard boiled eggs came out just right.

Wonderful

I never know how long to boil eggs to get them to come out right. I remember my Grandmother had one of these egg timers when I was a child and I loved it. Now I have my own and every time I use it, my eggs come our perfect. And as an added bonus I am also reminded of all the wonderful times I spent in the kitchen with my Grandmother.

At first view, might seem like another gadget to gather dust in the drawer of seldom-used items... but once you try it, you'll be surprised that you hadn't discovered it before. Very clever, simple, and a perfect way to make very consistent hard-boiled eggs.

Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs

This little gadget works great-I can finally hard boil eggs without a gray ring
around the yolk. I love mine and I bought 2 more as gifts for co-workers;
they like them, too.

I think the egg timer works very well. It should come with better instructions. When the eggs are done it works better to not cool them right away for hard boiled. I have only used the timer for hard boiled and it works very well.

Just Find the spot on the scale you like your eggs, and they will be like that every time. Everyone needs one.

cooks egg perfectly

This product gives you perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs. Of course you have to watch it as it starts to turn color and stop the cooking on time. It really does a great job.

I love this thing. I am pretty bad at making soft boiled eggs...it's a hit or miss thing, but this truly did make it easier for timing them. It also has a slash before the soft boiled mark for an even gooier egg

Works as advertised. I'm not sure how, but it's kept me from over or under boiling my eggs.

I have used and given these egg timers for many years. I highly recommend them. However, the one I just ordered does not work as the others. It doesn't really turn dark when the egg is hard boiled.

The timer is very accurate. Eggs comes out perfectly done to your desire. I cooked 60 eggs in one big pot and put the timer right in the middle where I could see and all of them came out just right (hard-boiled).

Several years ago I recieved an egg timer very similar to the one I ordered. The old one was fantastic, but eventually started to come apart. I liked the old one so much I sent one of your egg timers to my sister as well.
Your product appeared to be identical however it had a strange and very foul odor when exposed to heat. The eggs could not be eaten and the stench was unbearable. I thought it was a defect with mine but my sister had the exact same problem. We both had to throw them away.
