I was pleasantly surprised how light this platter is considering it is stoneware. The handles make carrying the platter very easy, even with heavy food. The platter is deep enough to contain juices that run off cooked meat. Very pleased!

I bought this platter and also the one with the dipping bowl. The one with the dipping bowl is larger and deeper and I will use more often. I will probably put the dipping bowl on this one.

The eggplant platter is the greatest thing I purchased. Not sure why I chose this color, but it is a really nice purple. I've had many compliments on it. Good job Rachael.

I was looking for a platter to serve dinner meats on but have used this to take appetizers to a friends and to serve 10 cinnamon rolls the morning after my daughter had a slumber party. It is a nice smaller size than all my other serving pieces!
