My wife and I have a older, less powerful unit and decided to up-grade. I grind alot of my own hamberger and ground meat to make home made sausage. The 600 makes the job easier. And of course for making bread dough to go along with the sausage, the 600 cant be beat.

Sometimes it worked and sometimes not. This one has no such problems even with stiff cookie dough. My holiday baking was a breeze. I find myself wanting to bake every day now ( tho' my scale says its not a good idea). I would highly recommend this to anyone who bakes.

I knew Kitchenaid had a very good reputation and did some research before I bought this product. My girlfriend is very pleased with the gift. We both enjoy cooking and will get years of use from this machine. It is easy to operate and is very sturdy.
She is already showing off the machine to her family and friends. This machine has a lot of addtional attachements you can buy and I am sure we will be ordering some of those in the future.

I have always wanted the KitchenAid mixer but have never been financially able to purchase it. My situation changed and not ony was I able to buy one for myself, I was able to purchase one for my sister's Christmas present this year. I gave it to her just before Thanksgiving for this year's holiday baking. WE LOVE THEM!!! If I had to do it all over again, I would never have waited so long to buy one. No matter what it takes, my advise is to buy it at all cost. It is sooooooooo worth it. Thanks, KitchenAid!!
I've wanted a Kitchenaid stand mixer for years. I finally found myself in a place where I could afford to buy one (and at the price here on Cooking.com, you really do get a great deal!) What can I say, this machine is fabulous! Baking bread is a breeze, and my daughter and her friends and softball team are really enjoying all the cinnamon rolls and other goodies I've been baking for them. This machine makes short work of kneeding dough, and doesn't hesitate in the slightest. So YES, YES, and HAIL YES this product is a good value for the price!!!

The only thing I do not like about it is the splatter guard makes lots of noise when the mixer is running. It seems like it does not fit onto the bowl very well. Otherwise, I love it.

I have yet to get the knack of the plastic guard and scraping the bowl and it's one more thing to wash, so I suspect I won't be using it often.

I bought this mixer special for mixing bread. I have cut
my hand needing down to only a couple of minutes. I am well satisfied with the mixer. Wish I would have had one years ago. I really like this mixer.
