Best Cheese Slicer
This cheese slicer has been the answer to many years of constantly broken wire cheese slicers. I love this slicer! It works great and is sturdy, not fragile like the traditional wire slicers are. I can now save more money by buying blocks of cheese and slicing my own rather than paying higher prices for already sliced cheese. I totally recommend this. It is a great value for the price too!

This only works well for semi-soft cheeses - anything with too much body or a rind gets pushed to the edge of the platform. And, if the slicer does cut through, remnants of the cheese ends up on the bottom of the device. Not a very good design. Would not recommend or buy again.

I bought this for my husband, who has an old wire and wood board cheese cutter.
This one is MUCH sturdier!
If I'd designed it though, I would have made it one inch larger... Some blocks of cheese are just a little too big for it.
We'll be using it a lot.

I was hesitant to order based on reviews. Some loved it, others hated it. I was willing to try based on inability to replace the wire on my older cheese slicer. Those that hated it were correct in their opinion. The blade may be sturdier than wire, but it is not sharp. You cannot make a thin slice as it does slide the cheese around- no matter how you hold the cheese.Thicker slicer are ok, but then I could do that with a knife...
