The 7 x 5.25-in. base is perfectly sized to hold a standard block of cheese while the 7.75-in. long curved handle offers substantial leverage and a comfortable grip. On the bottom of the cheese slicer are four non-skid grips to prevent slipping. Dishwasher-safe.

Blade design works well and the handle provides an excellent weight balance. Compact design is greatly for storage.

Overall excellent! A little finesse is necessary for the desired cut, but it is head and shoulders above other cheese slicers. I use this item daily and prefer it to any other slicer or knife I have used previously.

Cheese Slicer

I do not like the wire-cutter type cheese slicers and this is the only cheese slicer that fits what I have been looking for. The blade slices through cheese very easily and you don't have to worry about a wire breaking.

Nice Cheese Slicer

Overall, this is a very nice cheese slicer. The metal blade allows you to cut the hardest of cheeses.

However, because of its small size and smooth surface, it is a bit challenging to cut large, pie-shaped cheeses. The problem is that the cheese moves while you are slicing, thus making it difficult to stabalize. Getting the first slice was the biggest challenge. After several attempts, I decided to first cut the cheese in half with a large knife, thus reducing the angle by half and making it easier to slice.

Once getting the hang of it and even with this one small annoyance, I still like the slicer and look forward to many more slices.

This cheese slicer is very cheaply made. When trying to slice a block of hard cheese the base will flex and bend. So poorly made I couldn't give it to a friend for christmas. I had to return it and am still waiting for a refund or credit.
