Beginning at 12:01 a.m. PST on October 2, 2008 until Midnight PST on November 5, 2008, you may enter the Sweepstakes at Cooking.com.

To register for the Sweepstakes online, access the Cooking.com home page at www.cooking.com and click on the Sweepstakes link.

Subscribe to the Cooking.com Shopping News and/or Food For Thought newsletter and follow the directions to submit your entry. Any consumer who has subscribed to any of these newsletters during the promotion period and prior to the drawing date for this Sweepstakes will be automatically entered in this Sweepstakes. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY midnight PST on November 5, 2008.

Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, stolen, illegible, misdirected, damaged or mutilated entries. False and/or deceptive acts by entrants will also result in disqualification. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Any information collected by registering to enter the Sweepstakes shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Official Rules. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules.

ELIGIBILITY:
By submitting your entry online you affirm and represent that you are complying with all the rules and regulations of the promotion as set forth here in the complete official rules and have committed no fraud or deception in entering the Promotion or in claiming any prize should you be selected as a winner.

The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia only, who are 18 years of age or older as of November 5, 2008. Entrants may qualify to win more than one prize if the promotion includes weekly or daily giveaways.

Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law, or in jurisdictions requiring registration. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Employees, officers or directors of Cooking.com respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent and related companies, agencies, and individuals living in the same household (whether or not related) or immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings, regardless of where they live) of such employees, officers and directors are not eligible. All taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV):

One (1) Cooking.com Gift Certificate valued at $500 will be given away. Prizes are not transferable, assignable, refundable or redeemable for cash. Any taxes, if applicable, are the responsibility of the winner.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:
Each grand prize winner will be selected from all eligible entries in a random drawing no later than November 12, 2008. If weekly or daily prizes are given, each prize winner will be selected from all eligible entries in a random drawing. The total number of eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes determines the odds of winning. Grand Prize Winners will be notified by email on or about November 12, 2008. Weekly and/or Daily prize winners will be notified within two weeks of drawing. If a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable for any reason, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. If an alternate winner selection is made necessary for any reason, it will be done in a subsequent random drawing from among all eligible entries. All federal, state and local tax liabilities, if any, are the responsibility of the winner.

Acceptance of the prize or parts thereof constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winner’s name, likeness, and statements for publicity purposes without additional compensation or limitation.

By entering this promotion, you agree and hold Cooking.com any and all sponsors and promotional partners, together with their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies and their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, licensees and assigns, harmless against any and all liability for any claims, injuries, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever resulting from my winning, acceptance of or use of the prize/s I receive in connection with this promotion. I understand and agree that this is a complete RELEASE and DISCHARGE of all claims and rights against the aforementioned parties to be released, and that no action will be taken by me or on behalf of me with respect to any such rights, it being understood that this release shall be binding upon my heirs, executors, and administrators.

Cooking.com is not bound to replace any lost or stolen prize items. Any expenses not specifically stated are the sole responsibility of the winner.

By entering this promotion, you acknowledge that Cooking.com, nor any of its sponsors, partners, or agencies has arranged for or carries insurance of any kind for your benefit or that of your heirs, executors and administrators relative to use of the prize/s. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for obtaining and paying for any life, travel, accident, property or other insurance relative to your use of the prize.
