This is such a wonderful line of cookware. The braiser is one of those "does it all" pieces: it works as a saute pan, the lid keeps a tight seal for slow braising, and it can withstand broiler use as well. The enameled interior is simple to clean and it's dishwasher safe to boot. It's not cheap, but it will last a lifetime with proper care.
